In the early 1900s LSU played a football game in Havana.

If we're being precise, this isn't correct.

Can some of the "No's" give why? Just curious because I'm pumped and can't imagine a scenario where I wouldn't think it was cool as hell.
I wouldn't want to spend a day of a vacation overseas going to a college football game.

Forgive me for not providing precise coordinates.

Would love to have an excuse to make another trip to Europe. So yeah I'd be all for it but you can't make that trip all the time.

I think Bama has gotten enough international exposure by sending their Sugar Bowl Champs t-shirts to third world countries around the world these past 2 years.

Well, that was just rude sir!

Have an upvote.

Agreed, I'm treating it as a once-in-a-lifetime style occasion.

ETA: td24 - It's west of Great Britain bruh, not the UK. The UK includes part of Ireland. And I'm just joshing with you, I just wasn't expecting a thread with a pointed question to turn into an immediate flame fest especially from you.

Sure. Would be interesting and neat to see AU go play overseas.

Only caveats is it would have to be a situation that did not put AU in a competitive disadvantage with the travel for the game immediately before or after.

As far as going to watch AU, it would depend whether I wanted to go there in the first place at the time AU was playing. Game itself would be way less important than the other reasons for the trip. Like an afterthought almost and certainly not a major consideration of going or not.

I vote for playing in Munich. No cares for who it would be against.

That certainly hasn't been a problem Georgia's had to deal with lately.

Bad. Bad. Idea.

The team would lose a ton of focus in this kind of scenario. SEC is tough enough every week without this kind of additional stress. Moreover, SEC doesn't need the exposure. We are the badasses and everybody knows it.

If the U. of Ireland football team wants to come play somebody over here, they can make the trip. But not the other way around.
