What makes you think that? Your logic is nothing if not consistent.
I was very happy Arkansas won. I generally pull for Arkansas, since I live in this beautiful state.

If you go back and look at the actual exchange, your meaning was ambiguous. (That means it could equally well be interpreted in multiple ways.)
