yea I guess lightening storms are about the only reason UGA would really need an IPF, come to think of it that's about the only reason Mizzou needs one either.
FYI instead of rebuilding our IPF, *which is by no means rundown*, sounds like we are gonna shift gears to rebuilding the south end of Memorial Stadium with a new locker/training/weight complex and other amenities.

We definitely have the room to build our IPF next to BMH if we relocate Spec Towns.

You can't even practice goal line in 20 yards. No room for the qb to drop back.
You could really only practice stuff like o-line pass protection and which gaps the rb is supposed to hit, deep snapping. Not enough room for all 22 players.
Fwiw, my HS class was around 200 in 1999 and we had a 50 yard IPF. 16 years ago. Wtf, Georgia.

Only 3 practices were moved to flowery branch because of weather......
Spend $25m for 3 practices a year???

It is not an indoor practice facility. It is attached to the weight room area and they only do speed/ agility drills and occasional walk through so in that space

Not arguing that. You guys don't need one very often. The problem I see is there's no room around that 20 yards for players to run out of bounds. Can't practice sideline throws or end zone fades. It just seems very very limited what you can do in there.

That room was built for one reason and one reason only. . .to run the missing man formation when Crowell was visiting with his mother. #SoCrow

I'd rather you stop making threads.

Yep it's all they could afford being poor and all. Oh and they just fired the guy in charge of it who also altered as their strength and conditioning coach/pool boy.
Of course the irony is that UGA, because of the administration's stinginess, is most likely in the best financial shape of any SEC athletic department.
The biggest issue is that the coaches want next to Butts Mehre and in that location, it can't be a big, ugly building ( like most of them are) or the town of Athens will throw a hissy fit.

It seems like it would be more than three practices a year on weather alone. What about prep for games in domes? I'm just astonished that GT has something UGA doesn't.

I know UGA is getting an actual indoor facility and this thread is dumb, but I still can't believe it's taken Georgia this long to get one.
Never really needed one. Weather in Athens is usually pretty choice. Only reason were getting one now is for recruiting purposes

It's used for agility drills for the S&C program and team meals and recruiting events. Rarely ever use it for actual practice work
