Nope. However, first games rarely show much.

Our offense? Sure. LSU's offense? Probably not so much, but they did their job. Not exciting but not a negative either.

Though I think doing well against MTSU is actually a decent reason for Vandy to get excited. Bama or LSU, not so much.

If your friend is an LSU fan, I think most are more excited about Dave Aranda and that defense.

-5 yards rushing, 97 total yards, opponent never crossed the 50.
With 3 starters out including Arden Key, 7 total from the defensive 2 deep

Orgeron said it himself. Also, you can watch the game and see that they were running the same plays over and over with very little variation.

You run with what works. Variety doesn't necessarily equal good. You fired one gimmick coach already, after all.

Depends, how many balls did you throw and how many of them were caught?

Also who were your last couple of starting quarterbacks?

This BYU team beat Moo St last year & if I recall correctly, its 4 losses were by less than 14 points or so. Not a power 5 team, no, but not a bad team, either. FWIW, this expert felt a lot different than you: Herbie said not to discount this BYU team. Figuring he knows a lot more bout college football than you. Ga. Southern, App. State, Fla A&M?

One can understand the approval over Etlings mildly successful outing compared to last year, but obviously wouldn't warrant getting overly excited.

I guess because you think only fat people can use big words. I'll shorten it up for you next time, dummy.

Lot of young players in first start. New offensive system. Controlled the game and TOP. Executed well. QB was efficient.

Why the frick would we not be happy. I mean, BYU ain't Alabama, but the sure as hell aren't Florida A&M either.
