As long as GP is around, Mizzou will be a factor in the East. I hesitate to use the word favorite, because we all know that Missouri will never get the respect it deserves. A&M got the shite end of the stick being dealt the West. Bama, Auburn, and LSU will always be decent to good teams to contend with, just in your division. Mizzou got Vandy, Kentucky, and down powerhouses. A&M got year 1, but I think mizzou is better for the next 10.

Is there a yes but option? I mean I'd laugh my arse off if Mizzou spanked Bama. But then we would have to put up with everyone else across the nation crowing about how bad the SEC is.
If Mizzou had only whipped Indiana like a rented mule then I could cheer for Mizzou to make the playoffs and spoil everyone's holidays.
