I think Ole Miss is capable of being competitive( 7-5,6-6) every year, but I'm not sure they will ever consistently compete for the West title.

I agree. However, if we can get some new blood in the athletic dept and hire a solid young HC, I dont see why we cant be competitive in this beast of a division.

Pass - give me an offensive HC.

So says someone who most likely thought HDN was a great pickup.

Are the potential lawsuits by the pirate to much to deal with?

Are Craig James, Merrie Spaeth, and the cheap bastards at TT who wanted to cheat Leach out of his $800,000 bonus worth giving a shite?

I'd hire the pirate with no reservations, but that's just my opinion.

I love Petrino but he can not recruit worth a dam and has lost a lot of kids to Auburn and Malz. I think he might be waiting on Arkansas to come open again in Petrino gets bored with losing and jumps ship in the next season or two. Yesterdays performance was uninspired football and while we have a lot of injuries, there was no doubt who was going to win that game.

why? there will be openings at good schools in conferences that are a little easier to navigate & more offensive friendly than the sec.

I noticed the same crap at the Troy game, though Petrino usually gets things back on track.

Re: Malzahn...realistically, I don't see him leaving Auburn anytime soon but you may be right Alude. Malzahn is a difficult one to predict. My opinion is worth very little on that call.

I do think Leach would take the Ole Miss job. Only thing is...I don't ever believe Hootie's gone until I SEE Hootie's gone.

How much would they have to pay Houston if he is fired?

Ole Miss is a coaching shithole because they will never be better than average in the SEC. If he is smart he will hold out and take the Georgia job when they fire puss fest and his crew of losers.

Georgia is one of the best jobs in the country for the right person. Georgia should be in the hunt for the SEC Championship every year and with the right coach they will be a nightmare for the rest of us.

We have the ability to pay someone 3 million dollars a year and it's not like we expect an SEC championship every year. 6 wins was what we expected and that should be the minimum;it's not unrealistic. That's not a shithole that should be a cakewalk.

I'm sure the same thing has been said about Muschamp, Peloni, and Jimbo Fisher.

As for they Vandy > Ole Miss argument. It's funny that Auburn fans are saying this. Vandy beats their arse and is probably why they are saying it. As far as tradition/facilities/athletes . . OM beats Vandy by a mile in football and talent. Academics kill Vandy.
