If they switched up where the national championship was played? Couldn't hurt.

Let some other really nice areas get a taste of that magic.

The biggest mistake college baseball has ever made was moving the CWS away from Rosenblatt. It belongs in Omaha.

CWS belongs in Omaha. There is not a single non MLB park in America that can seat the needed 24k fans.

College baseballs lack of popularity has everything to do with MLB and there isn't anything that could be changed in cbb that would gain a significant amount of fans

Remember MLB Slugfest? If they incorporated those rules I think the sport would take off.

Moving to a park away from the zoo made perfect sense and the area around the old stadium is an eyesore.

I read somewhere that TDAP is the only US baseball stadium that seats between 20,000 and 35,000. A major league park would not be good for the CWS right now.

It is..and really..it is the only logical park to have it. More than 24k is too big..and less is not enough.

I read it was a woman's idea to have the downtown Omaha skyline in the background, but by doing so you make every possible HR just a long fly ball. The gusts coming from outfield are a pain.

nah. Omaha is the mecca. and fans all over the country love it there. the new park is not very popular tho. it seems the wind blows in most of the time and it just kills extra base hits, esp HR's with today's bats.

college baseball is more popular now than ever before. why doesn't it attract more fans? you got me.

I love the game more than any other but the "casual" fan really doesn't understand it. so they complain about it being too slow, not enough action, scoring, etc, etc. more than any other sport, one player dominates the game; the pitcher. it is also the only sport where the defense starts every play.

so my guess is that if they want baseball to be even more popular with the masses they need to change the game to allow much more scoring and then speed it up while adding cheerleaders with big ta-tas.

I think Chris Berman commentating would help a lot. Who wouldn't tune in to hear his famous, "Back back backbackbackbackbackback..." schtick.

Because the season starts too early for a lot of the country to even attempt playing an outdoor sport.

I think the sport is declining slowly. As far as myself, I don't even watch mlb. I used to watch it a lot. I keep up with it using my espn app. I watch mississippi state baseball. Once State got eliminated, I haven't watched a game since. That's odd cause baseball was my first love cause that was the only sport I played until I was 13. I played baseball from the ages of 5-18. There wasn't another sport that I could play until I was in Jr. High. Now kids can play any sport they want. Sports popularity is also regionally. In the south and southeastern parts in the country, college football is king. Ask a person in the northeastern part of the country , college basketball is king. The really don't care about football as much as they do about basketball. I always thought that was strange.

TD Ameritrade is arguably the nicest baseball park outside MLB. That stadium is awesome.
