For the sake of this post, let's say Clowney commits to 'Bama.

Does it make them both better or worse if Clowney and CK square off every day at practice? Could it ruin one of the two confidence-wise, or would they both just become so fricking awesome that they would blot out the sun?

Would be better. Ultimately 3 years down the line, they would be practicing against guys that are better than they will be facing on Saturdays

Tougher practice makes better players.

And Clowney is a cock lock.

My roommate was a LB in college under Saban at LSU. He said the big time player barely hit during the week. TIFWIW

I don't put any stock in recruiting rankings at all. There are way too many 5 star busts around football. And there a whole lot more 3 star recruits who make it to the NFL then 5 star recruits. Strip away the hype and they are all high school kids moving on to play college football.

anyways

when I played, especially when I was like a sophomore, I wanted to go against the guys who were going D1 on my team to see how I compared and I feel like it got me better
