Agreed, but winning the LSU and Auburn games would have put Alabama into the SECCG and title contention.

No. A young secondary and injuries on the offensive line cost Alabama three losses in 2010.

I don't know about that. I think the way the winds were blowing for Auburn around the Iron Bowl was that if we lost that game, an undefeated TCU would go ahead of us to the championship game. I don't know if the voters put 1-loss Alabama over undefeated TCU with how much momentum the mid-majors had all throughout last season.

Of course, I'm by no means ceding that you'd have even beat LSU and Auburn in the first place. Just hypothetical is all.
