Could go either way. I think they would have a better chance of winning than lsu does. I think both teams could beat bama

You are tcu, and apparently you have the same mentality that A&M does. At least A&M has won a championship.

You can’t use another season to argue that a conference is better this season

So what are you using exactly? TCU’s incredibly strong schedule? The only ranked teams that TCU and Oklahoma State have played are each other.

You’re not smart enough to understand my point, but you absolutely can use another season to argue that a conference is better when the variables that led to the SEC dominating and the Big 12 failing in past years are still the same. We’re playing the stronger schedule, we’re still playing ranked teams week in and week out, we have significantly more talent on our top end teams, and our teams have much better coaching staffs.

Sorry, but you can’t ignore those indisputable facts just because you’re a homer.

Yea ok man. Well I’ll tell you what: I’m going to bookmark this thread and we can revisit it if TCU miraculously makes it to the playoffs over someone who actually deserves it

Texas almost beat bama and tcu will likely wipe the floor with texas.

And just to be clear on this: Texas almost beat LSU in week 1 in 2019 and Oklahoma beat Texas pretty easily. LSU beat Oklahoma in the playoffs 63-28. The fact that you’re trying to use the transitive property in college football shows that you don’t know what the frick you’re talking about. Teams who actually play difficult schedules and keep winning tend to improve as the season goes on unlike your Little 12 team

tcu is undefeated in arguably a better conference (this season)

You have lost your ever loving mind. Even if you make the ridiculous assumption that TCU is better Georgia, name another Big 12 team better than Tennessee or Alabama.

Look at who LSU has played compared to any of the Big 10 teams that always get a free ride to the championship. The SEC kills each team and after the SEC championship game is over those teams are full of injuries.

An SEC champion with 2 or fewer losses not making the playoff would be the straw that breaks the camel’s back in regards to the SEC breaking away completely.

a 2 loss SEC champ would certainly make the 4 team playoff. Unless there are 4 undefeated conf champs from the other conferences.

I was thinking if UT won out they could potentially be the first, but that got ruined yesterday.

There is only one UT ole boy and it aint Tejas.

I was wondering this as well.

Let’s look at the ultimate scenario..
tOSU- 13-0 Big10
Clemson 13-0 ACC
TCU 13-0 B12
LSU 11-2 SEC
Oregon 12-1 PAC
UT 11-1 ( No Titles at all )

First 3 are in.
Playoff committee has never let in a 2 loss champion. Oregon May get the nod..

Not sure

I don’t expect tcu to win out, but if they do they absolutely deserve to make it in. This is abundantly clear to anybody who doesn’t suck the secs cock

Sec is top heavy. That doesn’t really make them better though

You can make the same argument for putting in Oregon that y’all are making for putting in lsu. Lsu got killed by tennessee at the beginning of the season, and Oregon got killed by Georgia in the beginning of the season.

Actually it does. But taking your argument, the Big 12 has ten teams. The ninth and tenth best team in the SEC is any two of Florida, Arkansas, Miss St, South Carolina, or Kentucky. Any of those five could legitimately beat anyone in that conference and none of them finish worse than 4th in the Big 12. Florida or Arkansas might be the best team in the Big 12 this year.

No, I thought LSU would be what we are. A 3-4 win team.

Ha. You also thought that Fisher would be a good coach. Thinking's obviously not your strong suit.

Crazy to think this is even being discussed, but IF LSU beats Bama and IF they win the SEC, you know damn well they'll get in. That's some big IFs though.

LSU would have to run the table AND Mich, OSU, Clemson, TCU would all have to lose. TN and GA will give 1 a loss. I would think a 1 loss SECCG loser would advance as well. Even then it's a very, very long shot imo.

With no other undefeated teams, and a LSU SEC champ, it's a possibility.

I don't see it under any other scenario.

So that mean LSU fans have to pull for USC vs Clemson....

What if this happens

LSU wins out and wins the SEC finishing at 11-2

Ol Miss wins out finishing 11-1

Georgia and Tennessee each finish with 1 loss. (One of the two lose in the SECCG)

Recap LSU 11-2; Ol Miss 11-1; Tenn/Georgia 12-1/11-1 depending on who wins in the regular season.

In this wild (highly unlikely scenario) who’s left out?

If LSU beats Bama and goes to ATL and wins, they are absolutely in.
But let’s not think about it. Lot of tough football left and it’s unlikely scenario.
