We had several against Arkansas in 09.
I was just about to say, every Florida fan on Earth better be up in here listing pretty much the entire 4th quarter of 09.

Easily the Webster push off against Bama. The most impressive "call" I have ever witnessed though was the year (2009?) Bama was not called for holding. I still can't fathom such a thing.

For Vandy, The call on Ramik Wilson and Ray Drew in the very same game was not only bad it was downright embarassing to watch.

Ray Drew should have been called for a late hit for his late shove. This is not what targeting was designed for and this happened in the fist quarter.

This call was downright criminal. Cost us the game even though the season was lost at this point it was still a horseshite call.

As for the Vols getting no favorable calls, showing my age but Cannon was in the endzone for the 2 point conversion & the refs ruled him down. Had that call not happened, LSU would have won back to back NC's with back to back undefeated seasons. But as for Moo State's favorable call, LSU did get 5 downs on the way to the game winning TD at TS yrs ago so things do balance out on some occasions. Unless you are bama.

For Aggies it was the last game against Texas. Horrible pass interference call moves Texas into position for the game winning field goal. The referee lives in Austin and is seen on Facebook wearing Texas gear.

1. I don't think you understand the point of this thread.

2. That isn't what happened in that game.

Not the biggest call to go against OM but the most fricked up happened in 2012... We were playing in Tuscaloosa and there was a blatantly obvious Intentional Grounding flag thrown against McCarron.. The ref picked up the flag, waived it off and said aloud "There is no foul for Intentional Grounding on the play because the receiver ran the incorrect route." I shite you not... The ref really said that shite.. Out loud.. While waiving the penalty flag above his head... I have watched college football, attentively, since the age of 8... I have never seen that happen nor will I ever again in my lifetime.

1972 – Jones to Davis - "The Night The Clock Stopped" – No. 6 LSU survived an upset bid from unranked Ole Miss in Tiger Stadium by winning the game on a TD pass from QB Bert Jones to RB Brad Davis. Ole Miss fans say the 1972 contest featured a few seconds of free football. The Tigers trailed the Rebels 16–10 with four seconds to play. After a lengthy incompletion by Jones, the game clock still showed one second remaining. The Tigers used the precious second to win the game on the "last play," 17–16. A song was written to commemorate the game, called "One Second Blues", (track #11) which is featured on the CD "Hey Fightin' Tigers". The alleged home-clock advantage inspired a sign at the Louisiana state line (as you left Mississippi) reading, "You are now entering Louisiana. Set your clocks back four seconds." For that year, the Ole Miss yearbook reported the score for the game as "Ole Miss 16, LSU 10 + 7 ".

The play with 4s was a quick slant from the 10 yd line, not a lengthy incompletion. Ever since then I've sort of noted similar plays in games that took only 3s - not that uncommon.

There's a brief clip of the ending with some humorous remarks by LSU QB Bert Jones about this.

and here is the whole play showing the ref spotted the ball correctly. I love that Ole Miss fans think Bama needs help to beat them. It's cute

I think your example makes the case that the ref thought his spot accurate, but short of the first down. It probably was. He pretty clearly looks for the marker and re-spots the ball accordingly to give you the first down he believed you didn't get. You will need more of them this year if you hope to beat Ole Miss.

It was a bad call, but LOL at "cost us the game". Georgia was leading 27-14 with 13 minutes left in the game at the time that penalty occurred. So we're talking about a drive-extending penalty in a game you're leading by 2 TDs early in the 4th quarter. That is not much different than BS pass interference or defensive holding calls that extend drives all the time. The bad longsnap near your own end zone later in the quarter was far costlier. Georgia's continued obsession over this only demonstrates how infrequently they're on the receiving end of bad calls.
