What's the dumbest decision your coach made this season that had an affect on a game?

Saban's has to be starting Bateman over Coker in the Ole Miss game.

to rush three, and use a QB spy on 4th and 14 against UF.

hindsight is always 20/20

No. Would have been fine if Bateman would have kept some of the reads instead of handing it off every time.

Kyler Murry should have been kicked off the team after he threw a fit before the Ole Miss game. He was not. Things happened after that.

Now this...

Not pulling Kyle Allen at halftime of the Ole Miss game.

Not firing Jake Spavital midseason.

Against Arkansas, Hugh Freeze going for it on 4th and short on his own side of the field in a tie game with like 20 seconds to go was the worst coaching decision of the whole year.

If Ole Miss doesn't block the FG at the end of regulation he gets eviscerated for that bone head decision for the rest of his life.

Since Ole Miss found another way to lose, people forget how absolutely idiotic of a decision that was.

If you make it, you still aren't in FG range, if you miss it, Arkansas is basically on the door step. It was all risk with very little reward.

Starting Faton Bauta, the 3rd string QB, in his first ever start, against UF in JAX.

Playing super passive on our last drive against Miss. State, although in Bert's defense it was an easy kick if one of our players decides to block.

I could name about 5, all of which were from the 2nd half of the UF game

-not going for 2 up 26-14 following a Hurd TD
-calling a timeout before UF was gonna kick a FG in a 20-7 game. Mac rethought, went for it, got it and ended up scoring a TD
-minimal blitzing, soft secondary coverage, and QB spy on 4th and 14
-predictable offensive playcalling when one first down ends the game
-less than optimal clock management on our final drive (although the clock operator let about 10 extra seconds run off at one point when it should've stopped)

Ya, I think of that even more than 4&25 because it made no sense (our kicking game sucks though), I believe he also did something like that in the Memphis game when they were not even past the 50 yard line.

It did seem like Arky played for the FG there. The way the offense was clicking, I'm 90% sure they would have punched it in had they tried.

I'll need some time to go through the list and pick the worst one. It's an extensive list.
