Chalk another one up for TennStud. Probably not a big deal though other than Jovon might not be playing in college any time soon.

It is funny though that Bama and others supposedly backed off him because of his grades. The next thing you know he's enrolled at Auburn with no apparent grade issues.

I'll just go ahead and say that that was me. I didn't know I had an account under that name and logged into it by accident. Looking to correct.

There was also a potential heart problem rumored back when he was being recruited.

So AU will have to vacate all the practices that JR participated and what else?

DP, bowl ban, scholy reduction?

In September 2010, it was reported that Bledsoe may have been ineligible to play his one season for Kentucky when discrepancies were found in his high school transcripts.[1] The Alabama Public School System hired independent attorneys of the Birmingham-based law firm of White Arnold & Dow, led by former President of the Alabama State Bar Mark White and former Federal Court judge U.W. Clemon, to investigate claims that one of Bledsoe's grades was improperly changed.[2][3] One specific grade, an Algebra change from a C to an A, had raised Bledsoe's GPA high enough to make him NCAA-eligible.[3]

quote:

Though the investigators concluded that the instructor's reasons for changing the grade were "not credible," and that a significant number of his high school grades were written over to reflect higher scores/grades, the school board voted to allow the grade to stand, and the NCAA declared its investigation of Bledsoe's eligibility closed the following week.

I mentioned this the other thread but as other's have stated as long as the counselor was not told to do this by Auburn everything else should be fine

@J_Decker84: Just like with Cam, our compliance department was way out in front of these allegations against Jovon. I'm not too worried about it.
This guy is close to the program.

Yeah, this story may turn out to be nothing. Or Jovon could be ineligible. It has yet to really play out

Hermitage (Richmond, Va.) five-star Derrick Green, ranked the No. 1 running back prospect in the country, could be nearing a decision. The 6-foot, 220-pound Green recently narrowed his list to six: Auburn, Michigan, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee and Virginia Tech. Green has not publicly set a date to announce a commitment to one of the schools, but he would like to have it done before the start of his senior season.

Hermitage's first game is Aug. 25 against Fork Union. I would not be surprised to see him make a commitment before or on that date. Right now, Auburn appears to be the frontrunner.
