I don't know why people start threads that they know all about.

"Someone catch me up on the biggest story in the country. Haven't had a chance to get the scoop." Just use google?

An even bigger mystery is understanding why people post about how much they hate the thread IN the thread. A bit redundant wouldn't you say?

Just assumed someone could use google to find out facts and not tRant. Then when you find out what's going with the biggest story in the country, you can come troll the board with everyone else.

So is Bowles in it for a cash payout from the plaintiffs? Because as far as the immediate future of Butch Jones and UT football, his statement is the most damning, yet he isn't a plaintiff.

Even if you subscribe to the theory that he made up the story that Jones told him he was a traitor (and thus committing perjury), why would he also make up the part about Jones calling back to apologize? That makes zero sense.

Without evidence and context, there's no way to determine his motives.

You're acting like someone who's not a party making conflicting statements is unusual or something. You've got a script A by your name. If you follow Alabama news closely, there's a high profile criminal case going on right now where a person not directly involved has given two directly contradictory statements - both times under oath and he's a lawyer.

People do strange things. You've got to have the full context to find the truth and even then you may still never know why they did it.

The player may well be telling the complete truth and he may also be lying his arse off. I openly admitted my natural disposition to believe one side over the other but my opinion is simply an opinion. It is way too early to know the truth either way.

Sounds like all that may be causing somebody to have an erection, huh?

If it lasts more than 4 hours, call your doctor.

If I had one that did that, I'd call all my buddies, show them and brag about it.

If there is a supposed 20-year history of rapes, is there also 20-year documentation of the victims going to the hospital and being tested, with evidence being preserved for prosecution of the rapists? Are there police reports?

This is different from Penn State in that the alleged victims are adults. We can expect that 10-year-old boys could be intimidated into being silent, but grown women?

Where is the evidence?

That's a big problem I have with Title IX. It dictates that schools set up an alternative justice system without the rules of a real justice system.

If a crime (particularly a felony as serious as rape) has been committed, it should be dealt with by the police and prosecutors, not school administrators and disciplinary boards. Doing it any other way is blatantly unfair to both the accuser and accused.

1) You're obviously not a woman
2) Do you have any idea the hell that a woman must go through (from the rape kit/exam all the way to the end of the trial) once she goes public about it.

What would you do if a couple of guys jumped you and sodomized you and nobody else knew it? That'd be a hard question for me to answer.

No, but I am a feminist. I think women and men should have equal opportunity in every regard.

I do because I've studied that very subject. I can understand how some women might be hesitant to seek help but don't the accusations list multiple instances?

It would have to happen before I could answer that but if I lived through it I damn sure would go to the police. I wouldn't want them to attack other good looking men.

Honestly, knowing me, I would hunt them down and gut them.
