With OSU fussing, what's lost is

the fact that we've had more walks this world series than ever before. Good Pitchers from any league constantly try to expand the zone by nibbling at the edge of the plate, then take a little more, and a little more. These umps have been getting BLASTED all cws about their tight, rigid strike zones so they finally loosen up the zone (for BOTH TEAMS, mind you) and get blasted for that, simply because LSU's pitchers were able to discover that new "edge" and expand it with proper pitch selection and execution. OSU's pitchers couldn't hit their spots consistently, so they couldn't take advantage. There's no freaking conspiracy, just baseball. And LSU played it better for 2 games.

I would be pissed if I were them. Not saying it wasn't' fair. He called it on both sides. But it definitely took the wind out of them more than it did us. Gilbert took advantage, but some of those were blatantly outside and when you are on the losing side, it's gonna sting to see that. Not saying it was even the deciding factor at all. You don't all of a sudden get 5 runs if those guys don't strike out. But I would be salty about it.

Well, I can't blame the umps for loosening up the zone after the tongue-lashing they've been taking all week from the coaches, fans, and media.
The line thing was bad, though. It should've been a 3-2 victory for LSU.

Well, if you're gonna come here and complain about them whining it would be proper etiquette to link the offending material.

Wait, I'm not offended by it.
I would be upset by the line call, too, especially if our coach didn't ask them to look at it again.
I'm just trying to offer a more level perspective on the whole issue. I ain't mad. Just hate that some people think we are there on a fluke.

You sound like an insecure woman. lSu has one if the best baseball programs and certainly better than OSU beat them 2)3 yet you are worried people may think it was a fluke you're in the CWS finals.
Quit being such a Nancy.

I really don't care about their whining but this line was pretty golden. Yes that's right he said the fans were paid. I'm not sure what paying fans even helps and that's why it's so funny.

Ok yeah LuckySU won but they had to cheat to do it. Did you see that foul pole video yesterday? I have proof they paid multiple refs and fans to make this happen. What else can ya do. Go OSU true winners

When the ump calls strikes a foot outside, what are you supposed to do? Even Pap couldn't believe it.

There were a couple of pitches that definitely should have been balls despite any strike zone. We're talking about two pitches total the whole game.
The rest were not a foot outside. They were just off the plate and the ump had that strike zone for both sides.
So in total they can be mad about two pitches and a double that was called foul (and really it's their own head coaches fault for not challenging the play. The reason he didn't challenge it was his own 3rd base coach told him he thought it went foul).
They had 5 hits in two games and they want to focus on a legit bad break and two bad pitches.
