Using Final AP Rankings:

24- Alabama
23- LSU
20- Oklahoma
18- Georgia
18- Florida
17- Auburn
11- Texas
9- South Carolina
8- Tennessee
7- Texas A&M
5- Arkansas
4- Missouri
4- Ole Miss
2- Kentucky
1- Miss St
0- Vanderbilt

The state of Texas averages less than one per season even if you combine both their top programs. How is this possible with all that talent?

I mean Texas probably plays one T10 team per season in Oklahoma and they've roughed us up this century. TAMU plays a lot more T10 teams but generally loses.

Considering we sucked from 2000-2007, even more impressive.

I would lay money down that the bulk of those come from Fulmer and Heupel.

Heupel is 1-6 against AP Top 10 (end of season).

LSU, BAMA, and Clemson were all playoff contenders by years end. I suppose this tho is why no one takes the polls seriously anymore.

Only 1 of those finished the year in the Top 10.

-LSU finished the regular losing to TAMU.
-Clemson finished the year losing to South Carolina

Bama was a legit playoff contender. The other two were not and rightfully were not ranked top 10 at years end.

Bama was top 10. That was your win.

Do you want to actually focus on the OP or just anecdotally change everything to make you feel better?

I was going to say that’s a surprising number, but Tennessee was still a somewhat decent program from 2000-2007. I’d bet most of the eight wins came in that time period.

Fulmer
01 LSU (regular season)
01 UF
03 Miami
04 UGA
05 LSU
07 UGA

Butch
2013 SCar

Josh
2022 Bama
