Previous years and expectations. Incline and decline. That's how these things work.
For example, if Gus goes 8-4 next year he may get fired. If Vandy goes 8-4, Derek Mason gets a raise.
I hope Auburn never celebrates an 8 win season.

I actually changed Gus to Les Miles. Fits either way. Add Butch in there too.

I hope we give Gus another year with 8, but our history suggest otherwise. All the talk about superior talent, etc...Outside of Bama everybody is superior QB play away from competing for the SEC.
