Sounds like there's an awful lot of stupid on the LSU staff.

So, going by what you've bolded in those quotes, it sounds like the coaches weren't going to take advantage of the unlimited contact allowed under the FAA signing because they weren't sure Womack was solid. Then, for some strange reason (I'll leave it up to your imagination here) they thought Womack was going to honor his commitment. So, they began to contact him more than would usually be allowed, but under the FAA rules it was perfectly legal. Then Womack flips and LSU gets hit with sanctions.

You say it sounds like LSU coaches are stupid, I say it sounds like Womack told them he was 100% committed to LSU and that they don't have to worry about him flipping.

Now we know why Nick had a boner for a 3 star OT.

The only reason they would go over the allotted contact time was if the commit 100% said he was coming, and they were ironing out enrollment details for his early arrival.

Sounds like Womack was all in for enrolling and backed out at the last minute, fricking over LSU.

Don't believe for a damn second that:

A) if we hadn't self reported, Bama would have turned us in.

B) the player and or bama were completely clueless as to the rule and what was going to happen to LSU.

Keep blaming Bama for your coaches not following rules, stupid or not.

Yep. Kid really pulled some bullshite with coaches that were bending over backwards to get him enrolled early.
