Running the table? Yes. Making the playoff? No.

No chance with their schedule.

They're going to struggle to win 9 or 10.

They got the D when those schedules were released.

Auburn fans better pray they don't drop a couple early, because the panic will be real.

I won't be surprised if the team to win the SEC 3 of the last 6 years wins the SEC again, and I won't be surprised if the team to win the NC 3 of the last 6 years wins the NC again.

That being said, Alabama beat LSU twice in the last 3 years with 1:00 left in the 4th quarter and no timeouts remaining in situations where LSU had the lead. As great as Chavis was for us, if we can make a goddamn tackle in bounds at the end of a game, we'll be much better for it.

Alabama has lost four conference games in 4 years, and none of them have come from the same team. Only an idiot would attempt to talk shite to a team that's beaten them on a consistent basis.

What hemphead said. I could see Bama slipping into the playoffs due to massive amounts of talent and coaching. Their schedule is brutal And they aren't as talented as a whole as they have been in years past. Therefore I would be surprised if they ran the table.

Realistically I see Bama as a 9-3 team with 8-4 to 10-2 as a strong possibility.

All in all not a bad year for any team.

Since this thread has already been anchored, I'll go ahead and do my "what if" scenarios.

From 2007-11, Les Miles had a 3:2 advantage over Nick Saban.

January 9, 2012, in a game that should never have happened if not for a missed FG from 37 yards, Nick Saban pulls even.

November 3, 2012, showing his penchant for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, John Chavis allows AJ McCarron to drive 72 yards in 43 seconds for the go-ahead score.

November 8, 2014, again showing his penchant for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, John Chavis allows Blake Sims to drive 55 yards in 50 seconds for the tying FG.

What should have been the greatest rivalry since the 10 Year War with a 5:3 advantage to Les Miles instead turned into a 4 game losing streak and 2 NCs for Alabama.

You can't really judge our team by how close our games are. Alabama is every team in the SEC that is on our schedules NC every year. Every team we play has practiced all year just to try and beat is and this is evident by our loss to Oke Miss and then them getting beat by lesser teams.

We will probably win it all and Coker will probably be in the headmen discussion by late October!

Yes, in today's SEC West I would be surprised if any team runs the table. The last team wo run the table in the SEC West and go on to win the MNC was '10 Auburn and even that team almost slipped up a few times. I just don't think it is possible to run the table in the SEC West with all the teams being strong.

I see the Gump trolls have awaken from their offseason slumber and it will be all Bama is the greatest since the Legions of Rome from now until Jan.

I remember a chest-beating thread on here not too long ago about games that Alabama had won by fewer than 10 points. There weren't many of them and LSU comprised about 1/3 of them.

I'd say that's pretty accurate.

I agree. I can't predict where the Bama conference loss will come from this year but I think at least one is out there.
