Most football stadiums I have seen this season, college and NFL, look to be back to normal capacity. Even ones in states with stricter COVID rules.

If anything I think we may see more amenities to draw in people. If the playoff expands, should get some more decent home and homes

Stadiums are not even close to normal attendance....I saw where Ohio State had 75,ooo folks at their game...by their standards, that is catastrophic, and they're not the only ones.

Not from teams with any success.

The big names losing attendance look bad this year.

Even the Alabama-Florida game looked spotty. The neutral site games looked to be pretty full though. I think there’s a lot of older people with season tickets who wanted to go to games this fall before the delta wave scared them off.

Did you see the Penn St stadium?

It's on the fans.

Probably so, not to mention that going to a sporting event of that magnitude is a freakin expensive proposition.

Good point on Penn State...that stadium looked packed like the old days.

Not unless ticket prices fall drastically. Every stadium has some sections that are just plainly undesirable and, yet, schools seem disinterested in drastically slashing the admission for these dud seats.

It’s a pretty hard sell to give up the HD television with a far better view of the game, something that didn’t exist 20+ years ago when stadiums were rocking, for overpriced nosebleeds in a college town miles from home.

I think this was the normal though pre-pandemic. As we all know, the ticket prices, the concession prices, and the TV availability of every single game just makes going to games more and more cost prohibitive.

The only games you see that are truly jam packed and sold out are the absolute top OOC match-ups/bowls/championship games.

Big games yes

I think attendance will continue to dwindle vs G5 and FCS schools. It sucks but I'm as guilty of it as anyone. Most of the time I'd rather catch the game for free at home, have a better view, then still have the rest of my Saturday instead of dealing with traffic/parking

Now that we’re getting into conference play, yes.

Ar/Tx Was maxed out...

Penn State/Aub was as well...

It seems to me that most folks are chomping at the bit to go and be free again.

I think it will get smaller and smaller for several reasons. To many things are taking people away from sports. The game is pushed against and now is woke. I

But the biggest issue is it became a business and the NCAA made it into a nightmare by not making teams play by the same rules. They just exist to make money for those in the NCAA building.

That's the problem. It use to be about supporting your university and having fun doing it. The memories were attending the game and hanging out.

Now it's simply business. Zero real connection to the university sports.

It will take a major fall in ticket prices and covid being basically gone. The mega stadiums will need to drop capacity to 85k.

It was the 5th largest crowd in Florida football history…

There were empty seats in the corners.
