Pretty casual "throw in Lamar Jackson"

Award has always been a popularity contest

No one is going to watch anymore Louisville games this year and now without a top 5 game with Houston are out of the playoffs unless Clemson does something drastically bad

Thats ignoring them losing anything else

Nobody that struts into the end zone and gets the ball stripped will ever get a heisman vote.

No. He's inaccurate and turns the ball over. His completion percentage is low. He's a great leader, he's an impressive overall athlete who is very fast despite being a big guy, and he's tough, but despite being somehow able to throw the ball 40 yards and hit a receiver in stride down the sideline, he also throws 6 yard routes into the grass and will randomly decide to just chunk it into the middle of the field to the other team. I like the guy a lot, I'm glad he plays for us, but he's not Heisman material.

If he beats Bama with an good performance, he will absolutely be in the discussion, and he should be. There is no rule that you have to be a great passer to be in the hunt for the Heisman. Plenty of running QBs have been up for the Heisman before.

No. No matter what happens the rest of the year, he will not earn a free trip to New York.

He has the stats to get him to NYC if we keep winning but if you watch the tape he's not Heisman worthy. Doesn't mean we arent damn lucky to have him. His running ability is the difference between 3-3 and 6-0.

There were threads created during the game by Aggie fans, particulary masterag, talking about how awful Knight was. Now he's Tannehill reincarnated?

A little, but I doubt he'll win. This is a rough year for Heisman candidates. Too many big names to start the season and the ones that are rising from obscurity (like Lamar Jackson) have already begun their ascent. Too little, too late. If he beats Bama -- that is, if he beats Bama -- then he'll definitely get some buzz, though.

Then, LF has injury issues and McCaffrey has faltered a bit, so who knows?

His stats will be enough to get him into the "Dark Horse" talk. All he needs is a few big plays against Bama/OM/LSU and he will be in NYC.

I was at the game. Probably need to rewatch. From my point of view it seemed like something you couldn't really blame Williams for. It's also something you know he wont let happen again.
