You are partially right. SSN is private information. The rest however is public information in Texas. As for releasing the info without redacting the SSN, that is the fault of the College Station PD. Deadspin is not responsible for their F/U.

I don't think this should have any bearing on him winning the heisman. However, Braxton Miller being the better football player should.
