Why do you waste the time to even ask this question?

Team votes were taken and the other teams agreed they have absolutely no chance.

there is no precedent for TAMU competing for titles.

Just like UF in 1990 or LSU in 1999.

Aggies need an SEC title, then talk. Could not beat LSU with the Heisman winner

How about we talk now and scream when we win a title?

Whatever made that happen can't be coaching though

Definitely not the defensive coaching.

Yup, you are right. 100,000+ people in the stadium, top 10 recruiting classes, new best-in-the-south facilities. No way we will ever fit into the SEC.

UF maybe. LSU was good before 1999, just not at the level they are now. You guys have never really been competitive at a top level, but here is your chance.

With that response, it's proof that you don't get it.

Over the last 10 seasons:

Auburn has gone 0-8 in the SEC.
Alabama has had two losing seasons and two .500 seasons
Arkansas has had five losing seasons
Ole Miss has had six losing seasons
MSU has had five losing seasons
A&M has had three losing seasons in a pussy conference, which is like 7 losing seasons in the SEC.

LSU's worst season was 8-5.

Tides change. Alabama is seemingly dynasty mode but we forget that they have had four .500 or worse seasons in the last 10. LSU has bucked the trend with 10 straight winning seasons.

The problem is that when Alabama was down, LSU was way up. When Auburn was down, Bama was way up. When LSU was winning 8-9 instead of 10+, Auburn and Bama had great teams.

One of the Landmass teams, Arkansas or A&M will have a season where they can take advantage of Auburn/Bama/LSU being down. But consistently, no. The West has a Big 3, and the rest of us have to like it.

Replace LSU with A&M.
LSU can't even crack the top 10 in recruiting and is in 6th place in the SEC.
Their trajectory is going nowhere but down.

Really? How many years in the last 6-7 has LSU not recruited in the top 10? That sounds like the same number that A&M has finished in the top 10 in the same amount of years?

The LSU insecurity in this thread is palpable.

Strange that Bama and Auburn fans are either absent or responding in a civil manner while LSU fans are not

Texas A&M is going to be a monster very soon. Especially if Austin can't get its act together.

LSU and A&M in 1999 had almost exactly the same history. One heisman winner, one legit national championship before scholarship restrictions, and a pretty close head-to-head series.

The difference between LSU and A&M is Nick fricking Saban.
