Here's the problem - and I'm an Ole Miss fan - I'm afraid Alabama is the better team. I give us about a 35-40% chance of winning. I think we can stop the run for a good bit of the game, but I'm afraid after getting up the middled to death, they are gonna hit us a couple of times over the top. I also don't think we're going to be able to run the ball when we need to run the ball. Desperately hope I'm wrong, but it looks pretty evident - but that's why we play the game. We can't put all of our eggs in this basket. I think we match up MUCH better with the other teams in the West and there's still many wins to be had. Rome wasn't built in a day - and with a 9 or 10 win season, we could start competing year in and year out.

You take that rational thinking out of here. We will have none of that.

Yes, I believe the hype will be too much. Ole Miss is busy patting itself on the back for having Gameday on campus and for having the "best defense in the SEC". They also have players saying things to the media like "We don't believe Bama is as good as in recent years".

This game has got "Ole Miss shits the bed" written all over it.

Well, I was trying to be nice...but screw that. If you don't think this team will be ready for this game, you're...well...a gump. And Bama's D is NOT as good as it has been in the past. And I'm interested to see what your one-shouldered QB does when he takes a few sacks.

You've been reasonable, so we should be reasonable, too. Let's compromise.

Ole Miss will NOT shite the bed. They will come out hard and play inspired defense and urgent offense. And then they'll just pee on themselves a little.

Lemme flip that for you.

All week, Bama has dismissed criticism against its team for not being as good, even laughing off comments from Ole Miss players saying that they can compete. Bama isn't taking this hype of their opponent to heart and come into Vaught-Hemingway expecting the same old Ole Miss.

Now the Tide comes out to an absolutely rocking stadium, filled with a largely drunk but extremely energized and excited fan base that has never experienced the level of importance of this type of game. They are putting everything into making their presence felt and it seems intimidating to the freshman quarterback making his 5th career start in his first road SEC game. They start out bad and can't recover. The game has "Bama shits the bed" written all over it.

Cases can be made for both sides.

I'm sure they will be ready right up until Bama hits them in the mouth and goes up by a couple of tds.

It's a work in progress for sure but it's getting better. Anyway, they should be more than adequate for this game.

I think Blake's shoulder's demise has been greatly exaggerated.

That would be a first. Bama has never gone into an energized stadium and come out with a win before.

Not to split hairs but Blake is a fifth year senior.

Is the hype always too much for Georgia?

Situation isn't my belief (and didn't realize he stayed that long as a backup, shows my ignorance), all I'm saying is there's equal chance on both sides of shitting the bed.

It's gonna be a close, good game. Don't necessarily believe you can use the hype thing in either teams favor.
