Anyway to get your money back??

I don't think you score but 14.... ish.

You allowed 105 rushing yards to VANDY. Their QB completed 20/29.

Mond with a QBR of 32.2

Mond has generally played pretty well against us.

I expect it to be a 4th Quarter game....I think first week of SEC play it's always an over reaction to a certain degree.

Mond will play better...as usual, opponents know a win over Bama is player and program defining and they'll bring their best shot. Manziel basically won the Heisman because he beat Bama.

As for Jimbo...$75 million GUARANTEED...hahahaha. Maybe one day these ridiculous contracts and especially buyout clauses will crash to earth.

Texas and A&M should be much better than they've been historically
Both lose a lot of talent to out of state teams as well
With all the talent in Houston and Dallas areas, I guess it's fairly easy to miss out on prospects due to poor recruiting evaluations

Fisher figured out in year 1 that defensive talent from the state of Texas is few and far between.

Between the 2019 and 2020 combined classes of defensive players:

7 are from Texas (only 1 in the 2020 class)
4 are from Florida
2 are from New Jersey
2 are from Tennessee
1 is from Alabama
1 is from California
1 is from Illinois
1 is from Louisiana
1 is from Maryland
1 is from Mississippi
1 is from Missouri
1 is from Pennsylvania
1 is from Virginia

GTFO. Typical Bama arrogance. Manziel threw for more yards against 8 opponents than he did against Alabama and he ran for more yards against 7 opponents than he did against Alabama and he did it in a year with little competition. The runner up was a LB and #3 was a Big XII QB that threw for 1,000 fewer yards , 16 TD's and 9 INT.

Fair points, but let's not pretend that because Manziel put up stupid numbers against Arkansas (4-8), Auburn (3-9) and Missouri (4-8) in 2012 that the New York Athletic Club was obligated to give him the award. "Heisman moments", while considered by some should not matter, are very real, and his play in Tuscaloosa in 2012 was undoubtedly that.

Bama beat everybody that year except for Manziel, who was the qb for a team that everybody prognosticated would go 6-6 at best in their first year in the SEC.

It's fair to say that the competition for the heisman was weak that year, but the winner of the award was not a weak winner by any stretch.

Up until 2012, only a few quarterbacks had either thrown for 3,000 and rushed for 1,000 in the same season or both rushed for 20 and passed for 20 touchdowns in the same season.

Manziel was the first to do both at the same time.

This is so funny year after year. And it will be just as funny seven years from now after taking it on the azz in the SEC opener.

I think the talent is there, you just have to develop them in college more so than you may from elsewhere. Just from our defense last year were Vincent, Chaisson, Delpit, and Marcel Brooks. Sure we’ve had TX busts but busts happen from everywhere. And before someone mentions it, Delpit is somewhat unique: from LA, went to high school in TX for three years before transferring to IMG his senior year. We’ve generally had really good fortune with TX kids over the years on both sides of the ball.

Manziel did cement the Heisman that game. That isn’t just Alabama fans being arrogant. It’s the truth. Even with that game, the vote was pretty close between he and Te’o. Had he something like what Fournette did in 2015, I’m not so sure he wins

I commonly mention that I'd like to see a spark from the players at A&M when they play. That is any little cause for optimism that they are going to play well and they have the personnel in place to be competitive and they execute. That was certainly the case when Manziel stepped on the field at the start of his career. He was quick, pretty fast and when he got into trouble he tucked and ran often out juking the defenders. He had spark. I've not really seen it in a aTm QB (at A&M) since including two who transferred and are now in the NFL. Johnny had the college QB thing down pretty well in 2012. But he improvised a bunch. And Mike Sherman had some pretty good recruits. My my how things have changed.
