Well first of all, Nick Marshall ran for 100 yards and a TD. Second, the idea that QB mobility = rushing yards is one of the five classic pillars of casual football fan ignorance.
The 2014 Sugar Bowl and 2010 USC game were dictated by Bama's inability to keep a mobile QB in the pocket and couldn't cover long enough on the back end. Neither game is lost with a pure pocket passer on OU/USC.

Tennessee may very well cover, but they'll probably need to score damn near every time they have the ball to do it. Alabama will roll the Vol defense.

I'll be rooting for UT because I will be there with my FIL who is a huge UT fan, but I expect Bama to cover the spread and win pretty handily.

Nick Saban has lost 12 games since the start of the 2008 season. 8 of those losses were to teams starting QBs with higher career passer ratings outside of the pocket than in it.
Now, anyone who knows how rare it is to have a higher career rating outside the pocket will understand what a crazy stat that is. In any given season, roughly 5% of starting FBS QBs sport that distinction. Bama has managed to lose to roughly 1 per season. That's not coincidence.

Will be tough for TN in this game, Coach Saban has Alabama rolling right now. The way these guys have been playing the first half of the season gives me hope when they play LSU. It is almost impossible to keep this level of play going for an entire season. There has to be 1-2 slips during the year, just hope one is when they come to Baton Rouge
