The lost to Texas A&M means nothing to us now that Alabama has won the SEC championship and will be playing for the national title.

Pretty much this. I felt bad about it until the moment that it was obvious Baylor was gonna blow KSU out. Then i knew we would be back in the NC.

I just heard that Smart will be getting 2 Mill a year and some kind of bonus for every year that he stays at Bama something about a coach in waiting but missed some of the conversation.

aTm has a good coach, and has a great QB that will be successful in this conference. Maybe you should refrain from throwing crap at Bama coaches until your program sniffs at a conference championship birth?

I appreciate your passion, mijo.

Probably will. He made $360,000 to start with and when Georgia offered him the OC job, his salary was doubled to $750,000. He then got two $100,000 raises.

His salary for this past season was $950,000. Pretty good money. And the players and fans love him.

Just heard on the radio 97.3 that some sources are saying he will get a new contract for about 2mil with an annuity for every year he stays. Don't know if true but I'm sure others have heard the same thing if listening. I'm calling BS.

Thats crazy if so, that's a long time for him and a lot of money to waste for Bama on waiting for Saban to retire

Texas AM's best win in the past 25 years or so was beating Bama. If Bama had beaten AM the same could not be said.

I thought all non Bama fans believe that Saban would be out well before his contract ends.

That's two years beyond his original contract and 7 years longer than most people gave him at Alabama.

Smart wanted certain guarentees and control from Auburn, and Auburn wasn't going to give it to him.
