Lets say he were to somehow win a NC before 2017 he may roll out on a high note, that is what I would do. I would go out on top.

Is Saban they type of person to just call it quits and retire from coaching on a high note? Or will he be too stubborn to know it's time and eventually be forced out like mack brown or maybe paterno.

He should probably prove himself by going to the coaching graveyard known as Oxford.

He will not take another job though. Bama is the last stop.

I agree, he looks tired to me. It would have to wear one out to be that intense for as long as he has been. Hell at least coach Bryant was a drunk, that had to help knock the edge off.

Paterno stayed way to long and basically was nothing but hobbling out of the tunnel and standing there by the time he left. Mack Brown started having bad recruiting classes and the team stopped producing. Show me where that is happening to Saban? Recruiting is still great and he won the SEC title and made it to the playoff just last season. I think I will give him a little more time before I declare his fall.

No, I think his ego will want him to go out on top.

He has no chance of being the winningest coach in college football which would be a valid reason to stay in the game.

He has been very successful in his career with 4 NC and he won a heismen at Alabama which is something Bryant never did, although he did win one at Texas A&M.

Saban will retire to the lake and be a guest on ESPN which I think he would be very good at.

Where do you think he would go?

I think he'd follow the lead of the great Drake Sabitch and go to your momma's and start a small fire in her panties.

Say they lose 1 early to either wisky or ole miss. Then they lose to georgia. Then confidence down they drop one to arky/state. Well it's safe to say they would lose to auburn on the Plains. Would saban leave. He already said he hates redneck Bama fans who don't appreciate what he's done there. And if he did leave where would he go? Would okahoma drop stoops for him? Maybe Miami?

Well first he would have to leave the leave the real estate that he already has in your head and secondly:

Could definitely see that happening.

Meyer finalized Saban last year. It's over.

Saban to retire due to health concerns confirmed. UCLA is about to get themselves a hell of a head coach in 1-2 years.

I didn't say that is what is happening to Saban. Just was asking if he's the type of person to overstay his welcome 5 or 10 years down the road if things go south and eventually be forced out. Not a dig at the man.

Didn't people say the exact same thing about Saban finalizing Meyer in 2009 and it being over for Urban? People said Saban nearly killed Meyer, Urban Cryer, etc. Were those people right?

It's obvious and, quite honestly, pathetic, how some of you desperately want Saban to leave coaching (or at least leave Bama). You've given up on ever beating his teams consistently, so now you're just hoping he leaves.

I think he will coach until his wife tells him he has lost his mojo and would tarnish his legacy by continuing to coach, and will probably die within a year or two without the drive to do anything substantive.

Saban is going to retire from Alabama just like Les will from LSU. They may even go in the same year.

That's as close as a UF fan will get to getting a win over a Saban lead Bama team. If you and beat him hope some one else will. Pathetic

Think he quickly retires after he fails to win the division the next two years. He will be out of excuses and his ego won't be able to handle losing.

It would be exhausting to sustain that kind of intensity if it wasn't in that person's nature. I think Saban was born pissed off. It would probably be more exhausting for him to try to sustain relaxation.

I am still perplexed that with his ego that he would retire from coaching knowing that he was a failure coaching in the NFL.
