Hell, bama slowed us down a lot more than anyone else has since we started really running the zone read and Marshall got comfortable.

So, no. Saban will get better at defending it, but bama did well against it as it is. Not gonna just "stop" it as long as we have the athletes to run it with Gus calling the plays.

And how many yards did you have without that one long pass play?

Some of you are so funny and predictable. Anybody DARES to question Lord Saban and here comes the cavalry.

No. All Auburn has to do to win is have our kicker miss 4 FGs and return one of them for a TD. Piece of cake.

Simply stated, Auburns read option works so well because their o-line mashes people. I haven't seen a Bama d-line get manhandled like that in several years. Then you add the best RB in the SEC and a really fast QB, and they are damnable good at running the ball. FSU may beat them but AU will gain yards.

That said, I don't claim to understand all the nuances of defensively scheming, but I think the unblocked DE/LB that the Qb reads should smash the Qb on every play, taking away two options, forcing a handoff on every play. Then you have six or seven to stop the dive.

Sounds simple and I am sure I don't understand something, but the Qb is a runner, not a passer on the first option and is eligible for face planting.

Gawd, I hate auto correct.

Totals were 495 for UA and 393 for AU. Talk about irrational. How about you look at the full game?

Technically, it stopped it enough this year - the loss fell on the offense, not the defense.

So how's next year looking then? Who can be the next Mount Cody or Tha Monstah?

Just found him. Matt Elam if we can land him
