Saban is going no where. He has an 8 year deal and is building this program to be the powerhouse of the SEC. He has learned his lessson and will retire from coaching at Bama. We will face him as long as he is there.

The Saban family does NOT like cold weather.
The Saban kids are all grown now, or will be in a year or so. He literally moved them 4 times in 7 years, that is an average of more than once every other year. One more to South Bend will be nothing, particularly if it comes with a 6 year/ $5.5 million contract. That's worth about $13 million more than his current Bama contract (that has no buyout clause from his end, by the way.)
But let's face it....Saban is not going to be the next coach at Notre Dame. Just ask him if you don't believe me.

I think Urban Meyer will go to ND if it becomes available. It is his dream job supposedly. They have asked him before and he said the time wasn't right but I think he goes there if it opens up in the future.
Why would he leave UF?

I know Terry Saban and children are very happy.I heard Nick say during last nights post-game interview with Eli gold that he has been surprised that the negative things people told him about coaching at bama haven't materialized, and the positive things that were told him have been even better than expected. He knows he has the love of the bama nation and complete support. He may leave at some point but not before he gets that statue out in front of the stadium

The Saban family also doesnt like Tuscaloosa! Give it time and his name will be mentioned with many other jobs in college

I say he'll at least interview for the Washington job.

I guess little Nicholas has more cocaine connections in Tuscaloosa than he had here in Baton Rouge. I could imagine how happy he was to hear his dad was taking the job at Bama.

Nick Saban and his wife don't like annoying "no life outside football" rednecks that make up the Gump fanbase. They'll be gone to Washington after this season is over. Watch........
while seattle is >>>>> than anything in the state of alabama i don't see saban going to UW. it's hard to win there, they have no recruiting base. i think if he does ever leave bama it will be for penn state or ND

After the first of the year his contract will be redone with an increase in pay.
I could be wrong but age has a say in his future. At 56 he may not want to leave the top of the SEC for a rebuilding job at another school.Plus it would be hard to leave the original DreamLand. Best lite bread in the country. The ribs aren't bad either.

If this was where you lived and you could make at least another million at UW, and your choice of scenery was
Black Warrior River
vs.
Seattle Cityscape
campus shot
you tell me what your choice would be.
UDub Endowment: $2.5 billion
Bama Endowment: $750 million

quote:I can't believe I am wasting time and energy to respond to this ignorant thread, but.....You are delusional and lost if you think for one second that this would matter. Let's stay in La La land for a second, since that's where this thread started, and say that Bama wins out and picks up the BCS Title. Do you really think for one second that any number he comes up with in his head will not be matched? Seriously, we have the most rabid fanbase in the country, not to mention one that is willing to fork out the moolah in all aspects of it. Everything from the huge boosters to the guys that mortgage their trailor to get another t-shirt.

All that said......fugettaboutit. He is going nowhere. He will be here until he retires. There will be epic battles between Bama and LSU, much like the last two years, for years to come. The Bama/LSU game has potential to become the SEC West Championship game. Deal with the fact that he is here now, he seems to have the ability to turn the program around much the way he did at LSU, and LSU is a great all around program. The end. RTR!!!
