Portal opens for teams when they lose their head coach. I believe it’s for 30 days following that.

I hate how it ended for him at State. He’s a tough dude that went through a lot in four years. 2021 was his best year. In the right system he can be productive. Unfortunately he didn’t have that at all with Arnett/Barbay.

I don't know who else they would've hired last year under the circumstances. A part of me does feel bad they were in the situation they were.

If Mike Leach is still alive, we are booking tickets for our bowl game and likely have 8 or 9 wins. Coaching matters and the timing of what transpired was brutal.

It's the perfect fit for him. WKU's coach is a Leech disciple that runs the air raid.

It seems like he would be a good fit at Oregon. Nix will be gone and Nix improved tremendously there after leaving Auburn.

Of course Lanning would have to want him though.

Honestly wouldn't have been a bad idea. Helton is a great coach in my opinion.
