That's funny. Thanks for the laugh.

If they manage to hold on to Freeze for a while they may. Has been pretty solid recruiting.

LSU fans' obsession with OM is exhausting. Better luck next year. Don't beat yourselves up over 27-24 all off season.
10-3 and a better bowl evens things out a bit. And knowing that the Tigers will beat the living shite out of you next year in BR. But thanks for your concern.

Not with that shitty offense you're going to have. You and Aggy are going to look putrid on offense
Posted on 1/4/14 at 5:27 pm to DMagic
And you could make that same claim against 5 or 6 of the 10 LSU teams to beat you this century. 2012 would be one of those. We'll see. No matter what happens, you can bet they won't be overlooking you guys next year.

We've been terrible most of this decade if that's what you meant. What does that have to do with next year? Your defense will be young and raw again and they haven't shown they can stop our offense in two years. Your offense is replacing all of its production. You aren't beating the shite out of anyone next year.

We can agree on that.

I just wish 02aggie would stop being ambiguous about his opinion. It directly correlates to how I value myself and my education.

2/5 of those seasons ole miss wasn't beating anybody so take 4/5 for what it's worth,
For state fans like coonass, 4/5 is worth everything.

Of course!
I checked, it's 330 miles from Oxford to Atlanta, estimated driving time is 5 hours 53 minutes. I'd figure at least one rest stop.
Hotels are plentiful in and around Atlanta.
Road trips are great, and Atlanta is a lot of fun. We'd welcome a visit from Ole Miss fans, whether it's to watch the SECCG or just to take in the sights.

Fair point. But I think you guys are confusing the Crowton/Stud years for the present. Jennings was rough in the bowl game, but Cam will get that figured out.
As for the defense, the young guys are the talent, and they came around at the end. You won't see that conservative soft zone anymore next year. Back to man and pressure. If they can settle the DT position, the D will be back to LSU standards next season.
ETA: and beating the shite out of OM is definitely an exaggeration. But I do think the Tigers will win next year, and won't look like a bunch of sleep walking zombies for half the game like the past 2 years.

And egg bowl is all that matters, not overall record like last year, amirite?
Congrats on 4/5 I know it means the world to bulldog nation
Of course the Egg Bowl isnt all that matters, but like the Iron Bowl or Fla vs Fla State- it means a helluva lot.
What also matters is we have finished ahead of Ole Miss in the SEC West 4 straight years. That's pretty important also.
State has pretty much left no doubt as to which is the top program in Mississippi right now.
4/5 Egg Bowls
4 straight seasons of better SEC finishes

Bama LSU Auburn A&M
Bama is the only school out of those that I know we can't beat. The others are very beatable.
It's one thing to luck up and beat one of those teams every couple years. It's quite another to beat 3 out of 4 and only lose 1 or 2 other games the rest of year. Not saying you won't ever do it but everything would have to fall into place perfect for Ole Miss to get in a position such as this.

Like I said congrats
Beating 2 ole miss teams with a pulse is tough.
Miss state looks like they have peaked, result of year 5 is 6-6.
And 7 points better than your rival at home and in OT, who is a few years removed from a train wreck. I'd say beating Houston nutt years ago has no bearing on who has the top program right now.
Ole miss is still building, filling areas with depth issues, and only in year two has shown that they have what it takes to beat big programs already.
I like where we are at. But congrats on the here and now

I maybe wrong but I believe bama is the second sec west school to finish 7-1 and not go to Atlanta. They've done it twice
Ole Miss/WAOM is the other
Like I said, we've had good enough teams to win it, just haven't had that extra little bit of luck that the 1st place teams usually get to push them over the top.

Child please
Year 5 was a rebuilding year with only 12 starters returning- 3 of which were lost in Game 1 of the 2013 season- 2 for the whole season.
Year 6 sees us having 18 starters returning, one of the better D's in the SEC, and a top SEC QB.
Year 5 for Ole Miss saw them have 20 starters returning- 20- and they still couldnt pass State in the SEC during a rebuilding year.
2014 sees Hugh Freeze having to replace 5 of his top 10 on the OL from 2013 and his 2 best WR's yardage-wise. We'll truly see how much those recruiting titles mean next Fall.
