That would imply we have the same expectations as Florida, which just simply isn't true.

He'll get at least 4 years unless we just truly have some awful years, which I don't believe will happen other than maybe this year.

6-6+ will allow him to keep his job, depending on year to year improvement.

He'll probably be D Coordinator at a power 5 school. There's no doubting his defensive ability. Head coach is a different story...

USC has no standards. They will keep him just because he is Will Muschamp. It would take 3 awful seasons for him to even be on the hotseat there.

??

If you think we will accept losing seasons, you are wrong. I think most sensible Gamecock fans would be happy with 8-4ish seasons every year. Holtz and especially Spurrier raised the expectation levels.

We just don't have the same expectations as Florida. If Muschamp mirrored his first 4 years at Florida at South Carolina, he wouldn't be fired. Too many losing seasons or no sign of improvement though, he gone.

I can't wait till they keep him a year or 2 too long like Washington did with Willingham. And they have an 0-12 season as a result.

It's so cute how much you want Muschamp to fail so Florida will be vindicated

Yall also don't have the talent of Florida, which makes bad coaches look better. I'm not saying he won't have any success at USC but I wouldn't put my money one it unless the other east coaches fall through. But he would be kept for 3 seasons easily, going 6-6.

I'm not speaking about Muschamp at all. Simply countering your claim that we have no standards.

I personally hate the Muschamp hire. He has recruited fantastically, but that's the mantra about him so it only makes me feel so much better.

To me hiring Muschamp as HC is no standard. He failed in a better situation in the same division. No school would keep a coach for losing every year but he will not be held to a normal standard at USC. 6-6 every year would get him Atleast 5 years there.

Even if he fails at Sakarlina he will get a D1 DC job or a HC job at the D1 level of Fla International.

Are you taking into consideration the fact that he will be an embarrassment to your school? That is what will get him fired. He just can't help it very much like a certain Louisville coach.

Example? Because he gets hot headed on the sidelines? Players always speak highly of him, so I can't imagine he's that bad. I don't really know what else you would be referring to.

I mean y'all are the ones that had Petrino and all...

I can't stand Muschamp, but that dude can coach a defense. He will be no worse than a D1 defensive coordinator for the rest of his career.
