Will money be enough to lure the right coach to LSU?

Recent job searches at the school have shown that they can't get who they want even if they offer more money than the competing school. Should be an interesting situation

If the LSU job was open right now it would be the second best job on the market...third best if UGA wants a new coach. Fourth best if Texas fires Charlie. It's a bad year to hire a coach.

Mens butts may work at a&m, but yes, money is plenty if it is plenty.

Agreed. I don't think they have realistic expectations as far as who they could get. Most likely the coach they get will not be better than Les

Is there enough money in the world that you would agree to intentionally contract AIDS and die an unmedicated, slow, horrible death with crowds of people standing around screaming at you to hurry up and die?

Meh. So many Power 5 programs can pay the same money. Situation matters more.

AIDS isn't what it used to be. Now you need to say ebola to make an impression.

You're not going to get anyone better than Les, get over it. He's damn good coach. What you need is good coordinators and a QB.

Ebola won't fester for a decade. It's a pretty quick killer.

LSU is a top program at this point and you can't look at recent coaching searches under this staff as a way to measure how a coaching search would go. Just because a particular coach may not want to come there as a DC or OC under Miles has nothing to do with a head coach coming there and assembling his own staff.

They should go for Kiffin but they will not do it.

We're planning to throw in an LSU koozie, too.

Money, if there is a lot of it, is almost always enough.

I am pretty sure weird and LSU are strongly associated.

Scoop with the common sense post of the day. Shane and cardboard with tFear because they know LSU will land a superior coach while they tread water in mediocrity.

I for one think a number of coaches would love to take over a talented LSU team. Not to mention a once in a generation running back that has yet to be used appropriately.

How can we fear who LSU will hire when Les still has the job and probably will keep it?

We are just trying to speak rationally to a fanbase that refuses to accept what will be the most likely course of actions.

I would put LSU over Texas and UGA as far as more attractive jobs. A coach at LSU has more financial support than at UGA, and more control than at UT. Sure LSU fans can be irrational at times, but it's been shown the administration is pretty damned patient and doesn't cave to knee jerk reactions.
