Awesome.
Hire the coach of one of the 3 teams we actually managed to beat this year.

I hear Derek Mason and George O'leary are talking to Mizzou as well. Good club of coaches

I doubt mizzou hires fedora. It would be a lateral move at best.
I think yall make an underwhelming hire tbh.

So UNC would double his salary to $4 mill or so?

Why would Fedora leave? A&M strongly considered him before ultimately selection Sumlin.

It's not about money. Its about UNC going to be given large allegations about players cheating on tests. he doesn't want to be in that environment

This is bullshite and I'm tired of hearing it.
UNC has not been competitive in football since the 90's and before Fedora hadn't been at the top of the ACC in almost 30 years. They pay their coach half of what most SEC teams pay their coaches. He's at fricking 11-1 right now and people are questioning his strength of schedule. The guy literally has to go undefeated in a really bad Coastal division to get an invite.
Fedora is an SEC guy, he has an SEC background, and ANY job in the SEC is better than UNC Football. They care about basketball, it's basically Kentucky in the ACC.
That's not even getting into the competition in the area for recruits.
UNC will always be a basketball first school, why would a coach want to play second fiddle in a mediocre conference with mediocre pay?

One game won't wreck this hire.
not w/ a temp as HC, it sure won't.
a college HC job is much more than one game w/ a substitute at the helm.

"within" Fedora? Are we talking a Kuato-type situation here? Because I'm pretty sure the NCAA has rules against using mutants to help your coach.

Knee slapping comedy there.

Why the hell anyone would want to go work at Missouri with the current climate is beyond me. Mizzou will probably have to settle for their 18th choice with a $0 buyout for the coach if he wants to leave the next time someone says hurtful words.

You make some good points, but outside of the Pinkel years, when has Mizzou had much football success? (genuine question)
I certainly agree that coaching in the SEC is better than ACC as far as prestige, but I guess I don't automatically think Mizzou is so much better than coaching at UNC. He might take the job and I think he would do well at Mizzou, but I see him padding his resume in a weak ACC and taking a more prestigious job later.
I hope Mizzou makes a hire that keeps y'all competitive, I am just not sure that will happen.

Incorrect, "Platypuses" or "Platypus" is the acceptable plural of "Platypus".
