Of course they will. They run a spread offense.

I do think we have the best back 7 we have ever had, and we're deep. DL worries me though. We've just had massive losses the last couple of years AND we lose two starters before the season even starts. If I had to count one one coach to make due with that situation, it's Kul though.

The offense is what really concerns me. Mauk is inconsistent, depth behind Hansbrough is a question mark, almost no experience at WR, and even though we have an experienced OL the coaches can't seem to settle on who will play where?

Not to mention losing Murphy who was a game changer in a lot of areas for us.

you gonna bet against Kuligowski? no really?

we need Maty to live up to his billing

and he will

a RB behind Hansbrough to provide some depth

crap we're gonna have 3 big RB's, with Russ, Morgan Steward and Abbington, and speedster Witter and possibly Walters, plus "the kid" Doherty whose gonna be another TB/Slot hybrid like Murphy. Dude we are stacked at RB, think 3 years ago w/ Josey/Murphy and Hansbrough, only more depth.

This team is so loaded I actually feel sorry for the teams on our schedule. I really do!

No. But we aren't in the same position that we've been in for the last several years. It will be a good Dline, I think. But there's still questions to answer.

Russ, Morgan Steward and Abbington, and speedster Witter and possibly Walters, plus "the kid" Doherty

Russ - great
Steward - has he taken a hit in 12 months?
Abbington - not on campus
Witter - see Russell's SO year
Doherty - FR
Walters - done nothing to get excited about

We run a spread, but it's not your typical hurry up, finesse style. We are very balanced, mix in plenty of power sets and rarely run any kind of tempo. It was very successful in 13. Not so much in 14

Because Mauk is subpar. If you had somebody remotely on Chase Daniels level nobody in that division could touch you.

He has a lot to prove this year.

He's definitely not your typical Mizzou QB. Any depth behind him in case he sputters again?

Agreed, he needs to get a lot better. He has way too many extended runs of flat out shitty play.

There's a lot of competition behind Mauk. Also Lock was one of the most touted High School QB's a couple years ago. I think he's a RS Freshmen.

all they're doing is the 2% tweaking Pinkel talks about, the only question is who starts at right tackle, in years past we would have "made do" with whoever is next in line but now we'be got the two high end Juco's who are both tackles, plus Rhodes, and we have a lot of good young guys behind the older ones. We actually have a lot of depth at OL, this is a strength for the team, we needed it, and like magic, there it is.

Sure Murphy was good but I'm not at all worried about RB depth, it's there and it's good, this another great, overlooked position coach Jones gets it done, year in and out, and Doherty looks exactly like the high skill all purpose player Murphy was, I want to see this kid play now before he gets away.

Mauk has already talked up Brown and Moore since Media Days and they are going to start, this team is loaded with the usual receiver talent, we even have one taller than DGB. People act like we've never replaced a DE or WR, and in truth it's happened every year!

Nobody who's ready IMO. Drew Lock will be a typical Mizzou stud QB. But he just moved into the dorms a few weeks ago. Probably redshirt. Eddie Printz is an airport QB. Looks good coming off the plane. 6'4" with decent speed. But he hasn't been able to separate himself in practice. Berkstresser is another choice at backup. He didn't do well in 2012 when Franklin went down. But no one would have behind that patchwork Oline and he was a FR thrown into the SEC. He may be passable in a pinch. But it would be a definite fall off IMO.

Not really. We just signed a pretty highly touted freshman....but he's a freshman. He's not going to play. The other guys on the roster weren't good enough to get a look when Mauk went through a 3 game stretch where he was completing like 39% of his passes and turning the ball over. So....

We did not replace WRs last year at all.

I seriously think Mauk is a talented QB, I think he's a damn headcase. We really got under his skin more than anything.

And he tackled Spurrier. lol Wasn't that him?
