Will Miles ever change tactics just to beat Saban?

You aren't going to beat Saban by pounding the rock. You aren't going to beat Saban with a mobile quarterback in a pro-style set. The little man puts together squads that eat that shite for breakfast.

You have to SPREAD THE FIELD. Open up the front 7, THEN you have room to get that mobile QB moving when necessary, and though much improved this year, the secondary has traditionally been the Achilles heel which you invariably have to attack with long throws.

This is how Saban loses to the likes of A&M, Mississippi, Oklahoma, etc.

Is Miles content with his approach which will win him most every game except one in particular that will most likely keep him from greater accomplishments?

Or more importantly, are LSU fans content with Miles if he is content with himself?

Winner winner chicken dinner.
Would you be so kind as to pass this on to Les and Cam? I've only heard this very same thing from countless LSU fans for the last 10 years.

its strange. Saban saw college football changing and hired Kiffin. Curious why Miles refuses to adapt.

Saban is simply a much better coach so even with comparable talent he has the advantage

I don't think so. And I don't know if he should.

LSU is built to beat 95% of the teams in college football. We've had years where we kind of shot ourselves in the foot at the end or else we may have beaten Alabama. And it is possible (although not likely) to win the conference without beating Alabama.

I want you to understand the words about to come out of my mouth: I AM NOT CLAIMING A MORAL VICTORY. K? We lost. Like, on the scoreboard, morally, phsyically, spiritually, whatever else you wanna say...we LOST.

Now that we have that out of the way, the '12 SECCG was basically exactly what you described and it came to the final play. You can beat bama by pounding the rock (gurley had what, like 120 and 2 TDs?) You can beat saban with a pro-style set (we've beat saban with david greene and matt stafford...and lost a close one with a mobile murray in a pro style set).

People try to act like there's some magic formula to beat saban. There isn't. Fact is saban is one of the top 3 coaches in america and one of the 10 best in SEC history going back 80 years, and alabama is currently the most talented team in america having a top 2 recruiting class the last like 8 years in a row. I mean...when you have all the best players and the best coach, you're going to be hard to beat, period. There isn't some secret formula to unlock, you just have to be better. Spread, pro-style, multiple, west coast, triple option...whatever! It doesn't matter. You simply have to be better that day, which taking into account all of the above doesn't happen very often.
