In 2012 he won 11 games, tied for the division, played in a Sugar Bowl and finished in the top 10.

I'm guessing no

No, he won't. McElwain is slaw just like every other product of the Saban coaching tree. Well, except for that guy in Tallahassee that has a stranglehold on football in the state of Florida currently.

Besides him the rest suck. McElwain is in over his head, can't recruit and looks like his mother had a one night stand with Mr. Ed.

Interesting opinion coming from a UT fan. I'm a bit surprised about your take on the subject.

Coach Mac will prove to be a great hire. He's sound enough that Coach Saban went all the way to the West Coast to get him and won two NC's with him, both with first year QB's too.

Recruiting won't be a problem for him, he's in the middle of a state full of great athletes and a helluva lot of them have dreamed of being Gators all their lives. The UF program is in good hands, much to the dismay of Richt and Jones.

It's a miracle we won 11 games that season.

It's got to be hard to recruit players when the head coach looks like a chipmunk.

Had Saban retired after last season would you have wanted McElwain?

Mac will do well in Gainesville if given enough time. He went undefeated in the regular season with JPW at quarterback.
