Starting with the '98 class. Every player that signed with LSU and stayed all four years in BR has played for and WON a SEC title.

Not happening this year.

As much as I like Miles, the LSU QB position is the arm pit of NCAA football right now.

Not many coaches that can overcome complete turds at QB.

I'm sure an LSU fan down voted my comment but you have to have a QB at every level of football to be successful - it's just the way the game is now and it's happened just in the last couple of years so it may be sneaking up on you.

Gone are the days of game managers and wearing teams out at the end of the game.

Alabama has evolved and LSU must evolve as well or risk having a Tennessee type multi-year bad run.

Failing to evolve with the game did in Tennessee's program for 7 years.

It can happen at LSU as well.

Did you watch Alabama's version of the air raid offense this year or did you sleep through football season?

Not that there is anything inherently wrong with your statements, but other than Mettenberger, the other quarterbacks to start for LSU since their title in 2007 are: Andrew Hatch, Jarrett Lee, Jordan Jefferson, Anthony Jennings.

In every single one of those years, no matter how bad, LSU won more games than Tennessee has been able to win over that stretch.

ETA: Point being, yes you need quarterback play, but not as much as your post suggests.

Yes it is possible and likely the streak will end. However the LSU QBs could be competent this year...players have been known to improve from time to time.

I also suggested that the QB position has grown even more important over the last two years than it was even 5 years ago.

If you don't have a good QB you're in big big trouble.

If you don't have a QB that can complete a pass you're looking at a 5 win season.

LSU, unfortunately, will struggle to complete 10 passes a game next year.

Their offensive line was weak and they had the best WR in college football. Alabama hasn't changed.

How is stating the obvious that (LSU has turds at QB) a troll job?

All of LSU'S QB'S would be at best third string at a STILL REBUILDING Tennessee and wouldn't see the field or have to change positions at an Ohio State, TCU, or Baylor.

I know the truth hurts.

The rest of the team is solid and Miles is as good as they come...but the QB position is grade A garbage.

Much like this past year. And LSU was still able to win more than the Vols were able to win with the second coming of Jesus H. Christ under center.

Didn't realize this conversation was about Dobbs or UT.

Needless to say, I think most Vol fans are pretty happy with what we have in Dobbs and the young but uber talented depth behind him.

I think you need to worry about your team's current weaknesses and not have a '14 season win total compare and contrast party time.

Especially since the teams didn't play each other making your comment as useless as it is dumb.

The season is just a formality at this point.

LSU will win the SEC and advance to the playoff.
