Same scenario as 2014, Ole Miss comes into town 7-0. LSU is three years removed from a National championship appearance and their super bowl is happening in Baton Rouge. The questions persists, If LSU wins this game will they rush the field as they did in 2014?

At least for them there’s a lot of steel fabricators in the Baton Rouge area and they should get much better rates for their goalposts than Tennessee is getting

against Alabama in November? Given it will be for the SECW title, I don't see how that's all too weird. Been that way for awhile now

I imagine LSU can actually afford goal posts if they tear them down

No and for two reasons. One, beating you guys is not that big of a deal and two, there will be no-one left in the stands to rush the field.

Don’t be so sure. Their goalposts would require an additional elbow, tee, and ~15 feet of pipe per goalpost with their traditional design. Steel prices are outrageous. Those 5 additional butt weld seams need to be inspected as well.

Sure. It is our tradition. We won't back down.

2000. We've only rushed the field 4 times in my lifetime. 1997 against Florida, 2000 against Tennessee and Alabama, and 2014 against Ole Miss.

LSU has collapsible goal posts. They tore them down twice in 2000 and have had collapsible goal posts for years since. Honestly surprised Tennessee didn't already have them. Most teams do now

Hadn't beaten Alabama at home since 1969, so yeah it happened. Idk, I was 16 at the time and had fun doing it
