Yes, but only because the only viable alternative is the Big 12. The longer LSU goes without another natty, the more blame LSU fans are going to put on the SEC.
No every team can go 2-5 against the top teams in their league and have 2 bcs titles in that time frame.

Thats cause we got monumentally screwed. I'll be honest there have been times when I have been pissed at how I think the league treats UF and have wanted Foley to say screw you to the SEC and move on. But, at the end of the day there is no viable alternative, so you take the bad with all the good and continue being a part of the best football conference in the country.

If LSU and UF went to big 12, the big 12 would be the best conf.

frick it. 12 game schedule. LSU and Bama only play each other. 6 at BDS and 6 at TS. Sounds stupid, doesn't it? Well, so does this entire fricking thread Not calling you out, Rick. You were just the last guy that commented. 8/31/13 or I pop a blood vessel cause of the insecurity of some of our fan base. Whichever comes first. :beatdeadhorse: :beatdeadhorse:

plus we're the ones who always seem to get shuffled to the least desirable bowl game.
And then when you get beat you say you really weren't interested. Yeah. The SEC really needs that.

Alabama has lost 5 games in the last 2 years? Unless I am forgetting something, Alabama's 3 recent titles have come from 14-0, 12-1, and 13-1 teams.

If Southern Cal, Oregon, Texas, OU, Alabama, and Ohio State joined the Mountain West, the Mountain West would be the best conference.

Since 2010 Bama is 2-5 against the sec's top teams. This is a fact.
Losses 2010 Aub LSU USC,
2011 LSU 2012 A&M
Wins 2011 Arky 2012 LSU
The last two years Bama's second best SEC wins were a 8-7 ole miss and a 7-6 uf.

You sure are conveniently throwing in 2010 and throwing out the rematch to make your point. It's not like Alabama won a national championship with 2 losses or anything like that....

Ok I am old as dirt. (LOL) they damn sure did. anyone saying other wise doesn't know much. it was back in the '80's i think after the charlie pell era but they most definitely explored other options. at the time, i thought they were goners.
I have a lot of friends at the State Department from Florida and in the state for obvious reasons in the late 80's and 90's who were big UF boosters, and remember thinking they were crazy to want to leave the SEC, and them saying the same damn thing we are know just tired of Bama's shite. Spurrier was there and they were dominating the league at times and felt like they were still treated like a redheaded stepchild. I guess they were just whiners too right? Maybe some old timer on here can remember what their actual complaints were, I really never was told what happened but they were way more pissed off then LSU fans are know and were actively pursuing options and even looking at getting in a conference with Miami and FSU.
