I have been an LSU fan my entire life and the best quote I have ever heard to accurately describe our fan base was something like
"The dream season for an LSU fan is they win a national championship, and then fire their head coach"

That might be true if I was a "republican" but I'm not. I know it would suck if we had such low expectations like the brown bears did but at least younger LSU fans know what a championship is. Unlike brown bear fans who know nothing about that. It must suck knowing that your best chance of going to a title this century was taken away by a loss to LSU.

But I'll explain for you. He was making fun of Ole Miss for tearing down one of it's racist mascots. He is a republican, hence why he used liberal in a negative connotation. Seeing as how he's a republican bashing Ole Miss and liberals for taking away Colonel Reb, he is most likely racist as frick. Now when this racist republican bastard gets backed in a corner, his first argument is most likely going to be "Ole Miss is racist"

He hasn't won much in November the past 3 seasons, even though we've lead the NFL in draft picks.. The talent is not being maximized.. I think a majority of fans are very skeptical of winning it all, however we recognize we have the talent to do so.. We aren't just being biased.. Many people outside of LSU have them as a top team entering the season. We have 7 guys going in many respectable mock drafts first round. Not saying we will truly have 7 guys go in the 1st round, but this speaks to the type of talent we have returning to LSU this season..
So yeah, I believe we are not performing up to our talent and often we win on talent alone. However, we may have our most talent in quite some time heading into this season.. and we have upgraded some coaches this season. Especially the DC.

Ole miss could have just become like UNLV circa 1970 and pretended that their Rebel nickname was not rooted in the Confederacy when it actually is. Of course Ole Miss is in Mississippi and UNLV is in Nevada so they'd have a harder time getting people to buy into that than UNLV did.

Ole Miss has won no championships in football ever. They just claim some titles in the late 50s/early 60s where they think the AP Poll voters made a mistake at no.1.
