Rupp was from Kansas and UK vs KU is a rival but a competitive one so I am not sure folks in Rupp would boo the Jayhawks. Last year at the Final Four I hung out with KU and UL fans but it was the Ohio State fans who were insufferable.

Trust me, we know. kU lays claims to all of your wins because of it. I don't think the question is so much about how you'd treat kU, I don't see them as a "rival" of UK. They're competitors of UK. I think the question is more directed to UL in general. As a Mizzou fan, it would make me sick to my stomach if kU was playing at Mizzou Arena and laying claim that it was a "home" court for them. Sounds to me what you're saying is, there isn't really a "rivalry" with UL, just respectful competition among programs.

UK fans will root against UL for sure. If the game stays close it could be the difference.

You can bet your hindparts if Mizzou stays close, there will be no home court advantage for UofL.

Thanks for the response and link. This was what I was asking -- I didn't ever mean to imply that they won't do this, I was just wondering what other people thought or knew from experience. Thanks.

No, frick no. Why would we? UofL is in the state of Kentucky and they get coached by UK Great Pitino. I hope UofL beats the ever living shite out of you.

another begging to UK fans. LOL, why can't Mizzou fans get to Lexington and try to get in Rupp. Oh, if I recall, we took over the Cards crib last year during our run. And if I recall, we take over their crib when we play against them all the time.

Quit being a bitch Mizzou and step up.

I suppose that answers the OP, but as far as I'm concerned, I think you're missing the point. Myself, I'm not so much wondering if UK would root for Mizzou, we can take care of that ourselves. The question I have is how does it feel to have a supposed rival coming into Rupp arena and laying claim to it as THEIR home court. Take Mizzou out of the equation and say they were in the NIT too, what would UK fan reaction be to a supposed rival laying claim to your house? I know that shite would NEVER fly in Columbia. If kU was coming in and trying to claim Mizzou Arena as their home court, well good luck with that. It seems to me we have gotten our answers though. Florida fans say you won't let UL come into your house with free reign of the place and Kentucky fans say meh, my house is your house, your not really a rival, just a good friend that lives next door and are welcome in our home anytime. Help yourself to the fridge.

never underestimate the kentucky fans' lack of jobs and stuff to do unrelated to basketball... they could be out in force...

Here's a question why do Missouri fans spell it ku? Is it like the sips thing with A&M/Texas?

Because there is nothing "proper" about the state of kansas.

Has is it any different we we take over Louisville when we play them.

Get your asses to Lexington and quit begging us to support you. You guys talk all this smack how great you travel for the basketball team, but you are on here begging us to support you.

I don't consider Kansas and Mizzou any rivalry. They have hardware like UL. You, do not. So yes, the UK vs UL rivalry is a damn blood bath.

We did play in Louisville last year so yeah.... it happens. I'm sure there will be Kentucky fans in attendance however I don't think any of them give a shite about Mizzou. We would like to see UofL lose because its "little brother".

I understand you Mizzou fans want to fit in but to be honest I don't see you as part oft he SEC yet. Just remember this.... The south has always been extremely slow in changing its ways so it will take time for anyone to feel a connection to your school.

I am willing to bet Kentucky and Alabama have the same unemployment rates without looking it up. Nice troll attempt though.

Eta. Bama rate 7%. Surprising. Kentucky down to 7.8%.

Or you can support your team enough that UK fans don't have to help you buy up tickets to keep Louisville fans out of Rupp Arena like UK fans do pretty much everywhere we play.

UofL has played at Rupp before in the NCAA Tournament. The UK fans that attended cheered for A&M (who beat UofL).Rupp Arena is still Rupp Arena and home to the Kentucky Wildcats either way. They're not going to "claim" anything. You all must have a serious Little Brother complex about Kansas if you think they could come in and "lay claim" to Mizzou Arena just by having a few fans there.

Why should I bother spending money to keep UofL out? That's acknowledging that they're worth the effort.
