well then McElwain is a dumbass. I remember thinking last year, Florida is definitely going to win a SEC Championship with Will Grier one day.

I don't think Mac did anything wrong. You don't get guarantees in life. Sorry.

"Is the drug Grier tested positive for Ligandrol?
No. Despite various reports stating otherwise, Ligandrol, classified as a performance-enhancer by the NCAA, is not the banned substance Grier took."

From the article:

quote:

The third time we went in to buy the powder, in June 2015, the associate behind the counter, who knew us because we had been in there before, said, "You guys should try this." It was called Ligandrol. He said it was a new thing that helped your muscles take in more protein and helped them recover faster. So we went home, and the first thing we did was look on the internet.

Either Grier is lying straight up or the NCAA fricked up somewhere.

And btw, I call complete BS on Grier eating "healthy" with Austin Hardin.

Everyone on campus knows that.

Don't really have any problem with what mcelwain said. He was honest with the kid, you can stay here, but you probably won't play. Better than stringing him along

I understand why he did it but he's stupid for letting the best QB they've had since Tebow by far just walk out the door imo

I can see why Foley was happy to hire him; he's like a little Foley.

Man, that's a way rosier assessment of Mac then even say Reel has on here-- Foley is arguably the greatest AD in conference history-- he turned Florida into the South's most dominant multi-sport program. LSU would absolutely kill to have anyone 50% as good as Foley.

Here's a hint-- if it has this on the back end- you should probably ask the trainers before taking it unless what you're trying to do is cheat.

I mean Keith Richards is still alive so the Hardin diet is kind of healthy....

I think he's lying but he could be telling the truth-- PEDs are the one area where even Bama couldn't nuance a hot test. Look at that poor lineman for Georgia-- he was injected by a Doctor after a catastrophic injury in HS and since the drug persisted he couldn't play for years.

I don't see the problem with what happen. Even in Griers own words in the report he was fishing for some assurance that he would keep the starting job. Coach Mac is a bad guy because his starting QB that Muschamp recruited failing a PHD Test and then he is a bad guy for telling the kid to transfer . liberals

I dunno, trust is earned and Grier lost whatever trust he'd built up. I don't have a problem with what McElwain said in either meeting.

So, you saying McElwain tried to get him onto a couch? WTF is going on over there?

So mcelwain wanted him to just refuse to play and forfeit his remaining time there? I can believe that

Well, you clearly aren't insane, mad or both. No sane person should be upset by what Mac told Grier unless they are really just mad and looking for a reason to be upset. We have a lot of those here though.

I agree with you by and large but look at it like this: When a guy gets popped, especially a Freshmen (RS), and he's the starter, we're not getting more quarterback recruits for a long time because they know they're not going to beat him out.

Honestly, Grier is a really, really good quarterback.

So we lose out on those recruits, they transfer or simply never commit.

Then he gets popped again, maybe by accident, anything can happen.

Then we're fricked, no quarterbacks, no one really targeted and we're just fricked over.

With LDR, he's not destroying it. There are Freshmen who, if good enough, could easily start.

We're rebuilding, and we just can't afford to take him on, man.
