Schedule smack talk is something Texas fans should avoid for a while, at least until you are in a conference that is nationally relevant.

Don't you think A&M has sucked off the SEC strength enough? When are the Aggies going to be relevant? Same as in Big 12. Hey don't forget to put that 1915 National Champion sign on you new stadium when its finished. Maybe you can dig out another one before its finished.

Far more likely that A&M and Texas will meet in a bowl some time in the near future ... I mean the Cotton Bowl, for instance, is probably already chomping at the bit at the mere possibility sometime in the future.

We can all rest assured, with baited breath, that somehow someone will manage to force a game, between the two teams, either in the preseason or post season. It'll be marketed as a grudge match and the powers that be will try to paint it with as much hatred as exists between Bama/Auburn and/or Carolina/Clemson ... but A&M/Texas will fall short. If it doesn't have to do with Mexicans in Tejas, they don't really hate it, and even then in Austin, they don't get real truth unbridled hatred so .... meh.

First of all- great change of topic. I appreciate that is the closest you will come to admitting that Texas's schedule sucks compared to A&Ms.

No, not until recruits Texas and OU target no longer care about playing in the pre-NFL. So never.

Maybe you missed the last two years because Mack Brown made you put your head in the sand, but A&M had a Heisman winner last year and was the second most watched team in America this year. That is the definition of relevant.

You must have missed the memo- the key is to say we will fall off the map without JFF, not point to how his success has elevated A&M's brand to a place its never been before.

I am kinda disappointed, usually you are good at knocking out sip talking points. I guess I would be tired today too if my new head coach left my AD sitting with his dick in hand for an entire day.

I see the A&M game coming back under him. Strong seems like the kind of person who loves having a big instate rival to play every year.

It takes two to tango:

quote:

It's pretty clear the Aggies have no intention of scheduling any future regular-season games with Texas.

"We hope to play them again in a BCS bowl or playoff game at some point," Texas A&M senior associate athletic director Jason Cook told ESPN on Wednesday.

No reason to give them a decent home game every other year.

it would be good for college football if A&M and Texas were to start playing every year again but I doubt it happens. Looks like Texas has a full ooc slate in the near future and both programs are still more interested in talking trash about the other rather than actually playing.

RE: LSU? I'd be interested in playing them if they were to guarantee that the game could never be played on the LHN. Short of an absolute guarantee that's a no go.

Unlike most of the rivalries in the SEC, the hate extends beyond the field of play.

Yep. Lots of folks on their side don't want that game to come back, especially when we have Kevin Sumlin.

First of all, could care less about playing the sips anymore. Really. DeLoss screwed that up. We are just the "sliver" and he has his "upgrades." Good for them.

Second, sure sips have a better record, but the first nearly 70 years A&M was a small all-male, all military school. We are a different animal now and have been. From 84 to 94 we were 10-1 and against the sips, the one loss being by 1 point. Since then sips had the advantage for the most part. Well... that is the way it goes.

That said in everything, whether it is sports, academics, etc. we have changed and improved and always gotten better. We will continue to do so, regardless of what the little sips do... One thing I have noticed is that they just kind of stay the same... Full of themselves and full of Hot Air. Good for them. Let them keep doing that and we will keep growing and changing and getting better. Academically we are on par with tu and have been for years. In sports we are better practically across the boards.

So do i give a flying rat's arse about playing tu. Sure as hell don't.

And yes scheduled are set years in advance... our OOC is getting better. We start a home and home with Oregon in 2017. Yes that is a way out, but it is what it is. between now and then Texas will keep playing the likes of Kansas, Iowa State, TCU, West Virginia, and Baylor - those awesome BIG 12 CHAMPS!

Longwhorns keep posting on this forum because they are still green with envy over the Aggies playing nationally high profile games in the SEC.

In the words of Mack, Ole Miss was tu's biggest OOC game last year.

Sumlin recruits guys to play in Columbia SC, Tuscaloosa, Oxford, Nashville, Baton Rouge, etc.

Strong will recruit for guys to visit Lubbock, Manhattan KS, Ames Iowa.

Still LMFAO!

But but but.....the sips kicked a field goal against us the last time we played so that must prove that they are real tough football players.

However it did cause the hiring of a new coach. oops sips, blew another one.

My guess UT wouldn't want to play LSU. Not out of fear, but more to keep LSU out of Texas
