He actually did well in the game the other night. His kicks were either barely into the end zone or at least inside the 10 but he did have much better hang time.
Still, if Griffith is as good as he looks, foster may be the odd man out.

It seems we need a symposium on scholarships and the 85 rule in this thread.
I didn't know Foster wasn't on scholarship. What is the rule regarding walk-ons and playing time regarding scholarships? Isn't there a limit on how much a walk-on can play before they have to be on a scholly?

Indeed we do. Since when does a walk-on count as a scholarship?
An invited walk-on counts. I'm sorry. If he's playing, he's on the 85.

So Lowery counted towards the 85?

I don't know if he's an invited walk-on, but Bryant Scholarship recipients who play once they are eligible in their redshirt sophomore year count.

I read an article where he stated that he was invited.
Just a hypothetical, but say we're maxed out at 85. And invite a guy to come play and he ends up starting. What happens?

Despite popular opinion, Saban doesn't process players for not being talented. They have to frick up off the field, not try, or just want to transfer on their own.
