Any team that drafts Wing won't have to worry about a punter for 10-15 years. He's worthy of a first round pick

he still needs to cut down the shanks just a bit.

I am probably happier about Seabass as first rounder than any of the others that I can think of off the top of my head head.

then that just proves how bad your team has drafted. Before last year, he was a mediocre K.

Yes having a kicker that gives you touchback after touchback for 15 years is pretty valuable.

now that they changed the kickoffs it doesn't matter.

Fwiw, I would give up leg strength for accuracy any day of the week. It's easy to find a guy to kickoff.

Its not a reach to say he has a impact on a game like no punter since Ray Guy

Shane Lechler would like a word with you.

If this is a troll thread, it's certainly a strange one. Surely you can't be serious though. He's a fricking punter.

I love what Brad Wing does for the tigers but C'mon man....first rounder????? He better be throwing touchdowns and catching touchdowns.....with his foot. wait this might be possible for him.

It's the off-season and I'll start whatever thread I feel like starting. With that said, it's not crazy, it's not like a kicker hasn't been taken in the first round before. And if I remember, that worked out alright.

Actually a good friend of mine was the last kicker taken in the first round I believe. It didn't work out with the team that picked him. The jets cut him although he is the started at cincy now. I don't see teams taking a kicker in the near future especially since its cheaper to get d line and o linemen in the first round now.

A great punter can be the deciding factor in close games, just look wat Wing contributed on Nov. 5th against Bama . I think it would make alot of sense for an established franchise such as the patriots or steelers to draft him in the first. Make sure you can flip the field in close games instead of drafting a project.

The best punter in the NFL over the last 10 years (Shane Lechler) was a 5th round pick.

Wing is a good P that's for sure. I don't see any reason why 4th round isn't realistic.

I'm certainly glad you aren't the GM for the Denver Broncos...

There's absolutely no reason that the second best punter in the SEC should be drafted in the 1st round. There's absolutely no reason for any punter to go in the 1st round, ever.

Meet Ray Guy finalist and Auburn punter, Steven Clark.
