I agree, OP. Tennessee has the most impressive history of any irrelevant dumpster fire in the country other than maybe Minnesota. You have a distinguished past - wear that prison orange proudly.

Not sure Bama or their fans care. I bet they would rather their 3 titles over that record...actually I guarantee it

This guy. He gets it.

People remember championships. UT had one. And you choked one away to LSU . . birthing their 90s run.

It has been so very satisfying to spank dat orange arse seven times running.

There was no competition in the mid-90s. Florida and Tennessee were the only good teams. Literally.

Now, despite Tennessee being a dumpster fire (let's all lol @ Tennessee), the SEC regularly starts - and ends - the season with 4-5 top-10 teams and 7-8 teams (half the league) in the top 25.

Was just about to post the 09-12 record which easily beats UTs record posted in the OP. 3 NCs included in there also.

Another fail by the OP.

I think the OP is not too sharp. Short bus syndrome is my guess. We need to lift phat phil up any chance we get.

Thanks for playing phat phil and keep up the good work

it is not often I side with the gumps but on this one, yeah, the op is a dumbass.

he should talk about womens basketball history or something. unless of course there are some uconn fans on here. or la tech in their hayday.

I'm sure UT said the same thing before kiffin. Then again before dooley. Then again before butch.

I guess every hire you make after firing the previous loser is "absolutely crucial".

45-5 (.900) by Tennessee. That was Tennessee's record from 1995-1998. 5 losses in 4 year period. No other SEC team has been able to accomplish that since going to 12 teams in 1992.

Alabama 2009-2012
2009 - 14-0
2010 - 10-3
2011 - 12-1
2012 - 13-1

49-5 which is a .908 winning record. The 49 wins by Bama's 2012 Senior class is the most by any SEC Senior class and tied Nebraska's 1997 Sr class for most by an FBS program. So in other words...

That depresses me because I just realized there are 15 year olds that haven't seen MSU beat LSU and 23 year olds that only saw it that one time, pre-instant replay, or they wouldn't have ever seen it.

So, your answer to the question is "No". Bama would have had to win 4 less games to replicate Tennessee's 45-5 record.
