Where are these players?

Our OL recruiting has been abysmal. To put it into perspective, let’s look at the number of OL recruits taken by Auburn and Alabama from this class (2019 which isn’t finished yet) to 2016.

Auburn - Alabama
2016: 1 - 5
2017: 3 - 5
2018: 2 - 2
2019: 1 - 4

This class will likely change these numbers, but Auburn is averaging 1.75 OL a class. Bama is averaging 4. It’s not surprising out OL sucks so bad.

The only chance is a lose to Liberty and may survive that.

Just a guess but if he loses out he could be let go. But the Baws who count want to have an excuse to bring back.

Not on the OL or RB.

Yup. I think the replacements at LB and DE will be solid, just very inexperienced. I'm super worried about DT though

Depends on the boosters and how much they're willing to spend. Either way, I think the chances this year are low.

Considering we're losing most of our D this season, I expect next season to be a 5-7 type of year. Gus will for sure get the axe. I think everyone realizes that, so it's just a matter of "saving face" and not letting a coach go the year after he signed a ridiculous contract.

Gus ain’t going anywhere. 32 million dollar buyout. Gus did his part to get Auburn their normal 7-8 win season.

No way, not with that buyout.
Gus just needs a dual-threat QB to run his offense.

He'd be gone if he hadn't won OM/A&M

No, he needs an offensive line and a better than average RB.

I fricking doubt it bro. OL is still going to be shite, no elite RB still, losing most of the starting front 7 and maybe our best corner too.

We're fricked

I really appreciate this unabashed honesty. Thank you

AU will have no expectations heading into 2019 and will have a solid season.

And somehow beat Alabama and then AU will give Gus a huge raise and contract extension.

It is part of the plan (process).
