If you do win that game, the next is primed for a let down game. OM will be on a bye that week.

And?

Gus Malzahn has never had a winning record with a quarterback that is starting for the 2nd season under him.

Ok, so you're predicting we would lose to Ole Miss if we beat Lsu.

Dude I'm in your corner here so quit barking.

Bert always has tough teams so there is zero reason to think he won't in the future. One year is not a barometer to rate this guy as a HC. You guys will be just fine although you are still years away from clinching the West IMO It's just too strong right now - especially with Aggie in the mix.

Little early to tell but I think A&M and Mizzou are your best bets right now.

Yeah but just look at what SEC coaches said about us before last year

"They are going to be terrible. What they are doing now, it’s the product of bad recruiting. They have a long ways to go. That’s nothing against the new coaching staff. But they are going to be terrible in Year 1. I think they’ll struggle up front, they’ll struggle in the secondary, the linebackers should be average. It’s going to take them three years to get a good foundation. It’s a product of bad recruiting – which is typical of Bobby Petrino. It’s the same thing that happened at Louisville that got Steve Kragthorpe fired. Petrino didn’t leave him any players. It’s the same thing at Arkansas. They have no players on defense…I think the young running back, Jonathan Williams, is going to be good for them.”

I remeber some of our posters on other boards laughed at this quote and said that coach didn't know what he was talking about. Turns out he was spot on outside of the struggling up front prediction.

So you think that was our best last year?

And let's not pretend like 9-3 is the worst you can do.

I don't understand how it would be so shocking for them to win a couple games. They have pretty good OLs and DLs. They have excellent running backs and a very good TE. Their passing game looks pretty weak, but it wouldn't be the first time a team did OK in the SEC without a good passing attack.

They played LSU, A&M, and Ole miss tough at the end of last year. Missouri has to replace 15 starters, they won't be as good. LSU has a brand new QB and a lot of youth, they maybe won't be as good. Ole Miss and MSU are better this year, but still look beatable by Arkansas. TAMU will be weak on defense, and has questions on offense. And UGA has been known to shite the bed at times, and they don't look totally unbeatable next year either.

I honestly would not be shocked if they won 3-4 games if they got half-way decent QB play.

The only games I would say are for sure losses right now are Alabama and AU.
